    Audio output while off

I was wondering if the VUDU is always outputting to the digital audio connector, even when turned off...

The reason I ask is that I have an older Onkyo receiver and more devices than I have separate input modes for. In this case, I have "Video 2" hooked up to both a Nintendo Wii (Via analog stereo RCA connectors) and the VUDU box (via digital optical audio). Normally, the receiver is smart enough to resort to the analog RCA when there is no signal present on the associated digital input. This normally allows me to share the input without having to manually select the digital input mode back and forth since I will never use the two devices simultaneously.

However, with the VUDU, even when it is powered "off", the receiver is always detecting an signal on the digital optical connection and never resorts back to the dedicated analog input, thus I never hear the audio from the Wii unless I either unplug power from the VUDU box or manually force the receiver to use analog audio.

Would it be possible for a feature request to turn off the optical audio output when the VUDU is "off"?

    Thanks!

Welcome to the Vudu forum Brian. I'll submit your suggestion to the official "feature request" area on the internal Vudu product development forum. No promises if/when this might happen, but consider it suggested!
