    Vudu Source Material for HD/HDX

There are many titles on Vudu that are in HD or HDX when there is no Blu-Ray version available, only DVD. How is this possible?
    Thanks.

This is a good question and would like to read the answer. I watched the 99 cent HDX version of Sabrina (1995) last night and it looked gorgeous - certainly much better than a upscaled DVD could look. I am assuming the studios supply VUDU with HD versions of films not yet available on Blu-ray. Is this correct? Thanks.

I would assume the studios provide VUDU with HD versions of films whether the film is available on Blu-ray or not. I can't imagine we are ever watching a Blu-ray copy when viewing VUDU.

Right, I did not mean to imply that the HDX (8+ GB) file I viewed was Blu-ray quality (although it looked gorgeous) but that it was clearly superior to what one normally sees on DVD.
