    Re: Vudu on Kindle Fire

Vudu has been acquired by Wal-Mart which is a fierce competitor of Amazon. I don't see this happening ever, unfortunately.

I'm in agreement with computerdoctor2010, however, even his answer is not 100% correct in getting things known for a request. Just because Amazon and VUDU are direct competitors.....it does not mean they cannot make an app that can work on any device. UltraViolet is a consortium of many companies (Sony, Universal, etc...) and when you purchase Blu-ray's or DVD's with UV (digital copy), it is free to watch once you have a UltraViolet account made, along with any other accounts you need. Pretty soon a UV app will be on Blu-ray players by itself, so we may not need to have things go through VUDU, but.......Android needs an app in general. Kindle is Android based, so there you go.

It works fine for me. Just open the app, click My VUDU at the top of the screen, and log in. Your collection should show up.

It mostly works for me, but sometimes freezes up while loading the front page. If I Force Stop it and restart it, it works.

Does the android version not have a resume? If I stop in the middle of a movie, I don't seem to have an option to resume when I come back to it.

It doesn't actually say resume, but if you click "Watch SD", it should pick up where you left off. The only time it doesn't do this is when you download the movie and watch it. Then it always starts at the beginning.

Ah, thanks. I usually do download them so that explains what I was seeing. Hopefully that's on their roadmap to correct. I hate finding movies on Flixster but that resume is sure nice (even though you have to jump through some hoops there, too) in their app once you've started a movie.
