    Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

There are a lot of suggestions on here but lets really just start with alphabetical order first since that will solve a ton of issues for trying to find movies.

They have this feature on Xbox, why can't they add it to the website.

Please add me to the group of users that wished for a way to sort the movies that they own.. if not my "ALPHA" how about at least date of original movie theater release, with the newest at the top of the listing

Add me to that list. I've asked support several times why they can't be sorted some way. I've done programming before and to insert sort code can't be that hard.

I made a similar post long long long time ago and they told us that they are passing this information to whoever is in charge.

I can understand that this might take a long time to fix because they have a lot of device with this app. I watch Vudu on Xbox, Ps3, samsung tv and ipad and I believe they would need different update per device, If so that is a lot of work, that is if my theory is right.

Easy fix...allow a sort on the website and retain that accross platform (actually re-order the user's data set). Devices that already have a sort feature (ie xbox 360) should be unaffected and at least we get a good base sort other than purchase date.

Now, if the programs are written in such a way that they default to purchase date sorting, the above idea is moot (and they have some really unthoughtfully written software). This is likely how the database is built, based on the un-link/re-link trick someone posted, so, when the account is re-linked it gives the titles a new purchase date.

                  Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

Just submitted an email request to support yesterday before reading this thread. Am I to believe it takes four months to figure this out? Movies are at least organized by genre when viewing movies to rent/buy. Why can something this simple not be done with our collections?

That's beyond my computer knowledge. lol. My best guess is, this could be something hard for them to do since they are taking a long time adding this feature.

its not hard. Instead of having [sort=purchase_date] they need [sort=alphabetical] in the computer language they programmed in. It would work similar to the "Browse Movies" tab where you can change categories. Not hard at all

This is something that needs to be implemented immediately. I should be able to organize on my computer and through the apps on my tv. I have over 100 movies currently on vudu and will have 200 before the end of the year. I think of all the realistic improvements that we can get from vudu now, this is the best one.

Looking for the same thing sorting and some type of sets management. With all of the Bond films out now I would really like to add them to a set and sort the movies by release date within that set.

I also have amasses a sizable Vudu collection and it is annoying that the titles are not sortable by the collection owner.

                            This feature is desperately need.
