Isn't the new service streaming video, while UNbox downloads the movie?

To me, Unbox is sorta on demand. I can start the download on my Tivo and start watching in few minutes. Maybe on the PC, you have to wait until the whole file is downloaded?

I've only used Unbox a few times with the TiVo. But I did it in advance before watching it. But either way the Unbox file is stored on the TiVo hard drive. And the new video service I believe is supposed to be streamed live.

I think the differentiation between streaming and storing on the hard drive is only meaningful on devices that don't have hard drives, like televisions. If the device has a hard drive, it should really only matter if you can start watching it instantly or not.

I read on one of the sites that the new store is supposed to replace Unbox. So, perhaps, it's going to be like Unbox + streaming + instant viewing.

P.S. I think -- but I'm not certain -- that instant viewing of Unbox content is only for S3 and HD TiVos...
