    SD/HDX/3D

    I'm confused.

Question 1. I have Monster House in HDX. Can't I upgrade for a reasonable price to watch 3D version? Also, if I purchase Toy Story for $35.00 in 3D does that include the HDX non 3D version...or do I need to pay another $35.00 for the 2d version in HDX.

Question 2. If I use disc to digital and go SD today, will I be able to upgrade those to HDX in the future for the difference in price ($3.00). I'd like to have my collection first and upgrade to HDX overtime but it would be cost prohibitive to upgrade to HDX all at once...

I would suggest you hold off using D2D for a SD transfer because there is no guarantee that there will be a free or cheap way to go to HD.

Actually VUDU support has advised me that basically you purchase it in SD or HDX, there will be no $3.00 upgrade offered anytime soon...(never) if you choose at a later time to upgrade...The e-mail stated, "its like buying a DVD at the store and if you want the Bluray later you need to repurchase it"...I think I'm gonna hold off on any more D2Ds because there are just too many undefined aspects/rules/legalities of this whole digital movie cloud that seems to go against the consumer. I read one forum that indicated a person violated these terms and lost all his movies...That scares me because its just too much money to have limited control or understanding of what all these policies and legalities are. Basically I'm purchasing a digital movie with limited rights at a higher cost than an itunes digital copy/dvd/bluray package. Seems like an odd way to market yourself if your trying to package this to people who purchase movies like I do...
