Will Vudu have a Black Friday sale?

Thanksgiving is just about here and the annual Black Friday shopping mania will soon kick off like Spain's "running of the bulls."

This leads to the burning question:

Will Vudu have a Black Friday Sale?

It would be cool if they did. Thank goodness all we would have to do is point and click to participate.

I see this week Vudu is having a sale on some TV series and there is also discounted pricing on some Pixar titles ($17.99 instead of $22.99).

Sadly, there is no Vudu Black Friday sale. I am disappointed. But today is not Black Friday. I will check Vudu Friday morning to see if they have any surprise one-day offers.

Well the stores are having Black Friday sales, and I'm buying movies that contain a UV code or are available for D2D..

That's a great idea Ninja. Do you hang out on blu-ray.com? There's a rumor that the Indiana Jones box set may go on sale for $29.99 on Saturday as a lightning deal on Amazon.com.

No I don't, I'm on the AVSForum though for when it comes to home theater and many other places. But the official Amazon DVD/Blu-ray sale calendar is here:

                https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...reative=390957

I've already spent about $300.00 in movies and TV this week. Best Buy had early access to their Black Friday sales for Reward Zone Silver Members, so I've already ordered all the ones from there...

Also there's a big sale on 3D Blu-rays on Amazon and Best Buy @ $15.00 a pop. I bought quite a few of those as well... I'm still waiting on a few movies from Amazon that are on the calendar...

Edit: I would love to buy Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and some of those other sets, but they don't support UV or D2D .....

Well, it looks like Vudu dropped the ball.

Apparently there is no Black Friday Vudu sale.

They sent out a email on Wednesday saying these two Blowout Sales were their Black Friday Deals:
                    Movies - http://www.vudu.com/movies/#featured...m-Blowout-Sale
                    TV - http://www.vudu.com/movies/#featured...TV-Season-Sale

                    They both end Monday.

                        I couldn't agree more.

I would have liked to have seen a special on Disc to Digital, something like half off per movie converted.

Dropped the ball? What did they promise us?

I don't think dropping the ball has anything to do with promises... I think it is about missing an opportunity to score points... which they did (miss)... of course I could be mistaken if may have something to do with puberty

Vudu is in the business of making money. They would not pass an opportunity to make money. Customers here think they know more about Vudu's operations than Vudu does. I'm sure there's a piece or two of the puzzle that you don't have. Here's an idea: let Vudu run their business as they see fit, and you can buy/rent their movies as you see fit. If you have a suggestion or request, by all means, make it. But don't pretend that you're the one who knows Vudu's path to financial success.
