This will likely happen with some "older" titles that were not recorded with equipment that was 5.1 capable - face it, the good old days where not that good in some ways. I still like being able to watch the higher quality video content, even if the studio just can't deliver the type of audio we would want to hear.

That would put it at 4 lbs. so far. I can't help but wonder if perhaps this is really some sort of sick twisted viral marketing attempt by the Hodge who is hiding his majority shareholder stake in the scotch whiskey cheese blend factory....

The controlling interest in the title provides the content and not all of the content is delivered in 5.1. VUDU is not licensed to convert any of the content from one audio format to another.

I don't think I ever said I'd "rather" pay more. I said that I'd be "willing" to pay more because it is worth more to me for instant playback. I also said that I think Vudu, as a company, was doing the right thing by charging the same.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if memory serves me right, VUDU reduced the price of their box at the begining of this year. It's exactly the same box, so why did they do that???

I've only posted here a few times. But I believe if you look at my record, I've pushed for a $4.99 price point for HD from the day they were made available.

I believe I saw a thread on one of the blogs report that HDX movies are typcially 8GB to 10GB in size.

Also can anyone tell me the actual size of the average HDX movies... since Comcast has the stupid cap on bandwidth.

On a different note.... Great job Vudu on HDX. I went online Friday to try out the new service and rented 21. I did not watch it until Sunday when I had some friends over to show them. The picture quality was great and the sound was very good rivaling the early Warner Blu-rays.
I love the fact I can watch SD .99 movies for their value, HD movies for quality and convenience and HDX for their enhanced quality. Again thanks for the great job and increasing the Value of Vudu and enhancing the user experience.

Well, sometimes I pay $4.00 for a gallon of gas when I could get it elsewhere for $3.95. So I don't get your comments.

Price is not the only consideration of customers. If price was the only thing that mattered, Mercedes Benz would be out of business and we'd all be driving a Yugo. Ponderosa would still be in business and Morton's wouldn't be. Why should I pay $30 for a steak when I can get one at Golden Corral for $5.00? People buy value and not price.

No, the price of the HD movie is fine.

Well, then I suspect you only rent the SD versions of movies since they are $1.99 and $2.99?
