What timezone to use for release dates?

Ironman HDX is available tomorrow. Will I be able to rent it at 12:01 EST or do the Vudu servers enforce PST?

Of course I'd much rather pre-order and go to sleep knowing the download will start on the official hour.

Further justification for my "pre-order" suggestion - let me rent and pay for it before it's available and then download it at Midnight PST while I'm nustled cozy in bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

I think that was actually one of the first things I added to the feature request back when I first joined this forum. Still waiting...

I kind of figured that, that has always been my experience. I'm one of those who will sit and refresh the screen as it counts down to 1 hour left... Rent soon... etc.. until it is 12:01 PST

I could put you on my RoboCall List too, if you want!

Unless there's a technical problem, it would be nice to have it be the user's time zone. Of course, that might be rather difficult as users could "fake" their zipcode or location on the box to get the content earlier...

But to do that you would need to fake your account info which seems a bit extreme just to get a movie 1 to 3 hours early.
