    Download to Multiple Devices?

Can you download the same TV series to multiple devices?

My husband and I both travel a lot to places where we can not get enough bandwidth (or any) to stream.
We were attracted to VUDU because you can register multiple devices and you can actually download movies and tv shows.
We have never had a problem before. He will buy something and when I'm done with the series I'm watching I'll go download what he bought etc. I was under the impression we both were able to access all the content.

Well I just went to download something and it won't let me see a place to download it or even attempt to stream it, it wont' even show me 'episodes'.
I am not even sure if he still has it downloaded on his device or not, he finished the series weeks ago. Can I not download it as well?
We are never watching the same episodes at the same time but would like to both be able to download entire series before we travel. 60+ hours traveling and/or weeks away means we want to be able to download a few series before we leave.

If this isn't possible then after we work out how to get access to the last few series we bought then we are done with Vudu. There is no point.

Also, IF we can not have it downloaded onto multiple devices at once HOW do we get it to recognize that the other person has deleted it so we can download it. I take it you HAVE to be online for VUDU to recognize you've deleted it? That isn't going to work when we are in places we can't even get VUDU to load.

I have also heard that there is a limit to the number of times it can be downloaded. Is this true?? So we can't put it on one tablet, delete it, let the other person download it, they delete it then we download it at home?? How may separate times can it be downloaded?

    Re: Download to Multiple Devices?

As far as I know there isn't any restriction keeping you from downloading the same program on multiple devices. You have to make sure the app on your device supports downloads. Some of the apps don't. I think the best app is the vudu to go app that you can download on a laptop. You would be able to store a lot of films on a laptop with a large hard drive.

At this point in time, it is not possible to download a film and move it from one computer to another, or from a computer to a tablet or smartphone. Early next year they are planning to launch a Common File Format, which will let you download a film once and movie it between devices and play it with any player or app that supports the Common File Format. This will include phones, tablets, PC's and Mac's, connected SmartTVs, Blu-ray Players and even gaming consoles. The CFF will work with all UltraViolet devices and retailers.

Ok, I got it working. It was a navigation error on my part.
I opened up the 'season' it was showing me all the seasons and for some reason yesterday wouldn't let me 'click' on the season. It is downloading now. (although my husband said he has deleted them from his computer just to save space - so not sure if it is an issue or not)

      Thanks for the help!
