    No Extended Rentals?

Is anyone else seeing no extended rentals? Back on 12/21 we rented the Grinch movie. Watched about 20 minutes of it on the 23rd. Today we went to extend it and had to pay for the entire rental again.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I rented Tropical Thunder yesterday and at that time it said "extended rental period available for this title".

Extended rentals are not available for all titles. Some Universal titles are not eligible.

Grrr! When will the studios get their heads out of their you know where! For Pete's sake if I rent physical media, I can keep it for days and watch multiple times...Argh. I though the extended rental thing was available for all titles and had nothing to do with the studios...

Isn't VUDU ponying up the dough for the price difference in which case studios should have no objections? I didn't think it was studio-subsidized since no other VOD service offers this option.

That's what I thought. But who knows what the studios would say even if Vudu was ponying up for the cost...
