    Upgrade to Extended/Unrated/ETC

It can be rather annoying to purchase a movie only to have an Extended or Unrated or Super Special Edition come out a short time later. I don't really like the idea of having multiple copies of the same movie in my library. It would be nice to pay a small fee for movies purchased on Vudu to "upgrade" to the other version.

If no such feature exists and there are no plans to offer it, how would I remove movies from my library in case I decide to bite the bullet and buy the extended version?

    Bump this.

I bought the new hobbit movie because I wanted to watch it but there is no extended edition available yet. All of my lord of the Rings movies are the extended edition. Would love to be able to upgrade my license for the hobbit 2 to the extended edition when it becomes available.

You can't even upgrade from SD to HD at this point. The movie studios treat the theatrical and extended editions of movies as separate licenses, VUDU probably couldn't offer this even if they wanted. (The Hobbit even has two separate UV codes for theatrical and extended) It's sort of BS because almost all DVD/Blu-ray releases include both for the same price as buying one or the other EST (LOTR excluded)

Anyway, if you want a movie removed you can open a support ticket and ask for them to delete it, make sure you specifically indicate you want the theatrical and not the extended version deleted.

If you buy the Blu-Ray, then later when extended versions are released, you still have to purchase it. The same would be true for Vudu. Your choices are...buy now and buy again later...or just rent now and buy later. Vudu, like the rest of us, is at the mercy of the studios, and the studios aren't consumer-friendly...just look at what people have to go through to get FROZEN 3D.
