Yes, there are movies with a lot of nudity in it. Stuff that is technically rated R, but shows a lot more than R movies used to show.

Without being able to share non-UV titles, i'm not sure this does much. You can obviously already do all of this from uvvu so it really only makes managing your UV account and sub-accounts slightly more convenient from Vudu, but that's about all.

And I'm not even sure you can manage your already connected UV sub-accounts so it may even be more of a pain if you do already have UV sub-accounts.

Yes, it is just a streamlined interface to the back-end UVVU feature integrated into Vudu's GUI.

This is a small nuance to you and me. For a preponderance of the common consumers out there, it makes this rarely used feature accessible.

I have tried to explain the UVVU feature to co-workers. It is always a long conversation in muli-parts.

Much easier is them receiving a click-to-start email. I think it will make a big change, not to mention all the positive press it is drawing.

All good points. I was just a little disappointed after getting the email... getting excited... and then realizing this did not apply to non-UV titles. Argh! lol

I believe the hope is this will become a catalyst for UV sharing to reach critical mass and as a result of the coat-tails effect, the rest of the studios will become DECE members to be able to participate from the growing demand.

If this can help grow momentum and place more pressure on non-DECE studios to join and add more UV titles, that would certainly be a good thing. Now that MGM is slowly adding titles, I'm excited and optimistic. I only wish they had more D2D titles. Disney is still not looking good anytime too soon. But if DECE keeps growing in popularity, it's not impossible that they might still jump in.

You can access it from the drop down menu. UV Info
Can a user who is setup this way, go into the UV library and delete titles?

                      Re: "Share My Movies"

All the reports on it are only positive as they don't understand how it works and are making assumptions about pooling movies and such. Linking accounts is generally going to be a very bad idea if you have two individuals who make purchases, especially as the sharer gets no benefit of the UV titles of the 'sharee'. It may be fine for some tight family members who you believe you would never need to unpool from. Lots of folks are likely to be very ****ed when they try to unlink as they didn't understand how this really works. It is far too convoluted as is.

I tried it a while ago (on the UVVU site) with a friend to figure out how it would work. Like most will be, we were very confused and surprised that we couldn't combine libraries as one would assume from the name. What we found is if the other person has any interest in buying titles/redeeming UV codes then the best bet is for them to set up a second account that you add so they can log into this second account for titles that you have but they don't.

As for the comments about keeping your Vudu purchased movies but not the UV aspect if you unlink, for many that might be redeeming codes from discs so they would lose those entirely. Plus for those purchasing the titles, I'm not sure that it would actually work that way as it would give the purchaser a copy of the UV title that is somehow not UV enabled and the original person would retain the UV title that would then of course still Vudu (so there would be two copies of the one purchase, just one w/o UV somehow).

When a "Sharee" gets the welcome kit e-mail and goes through the process, they need put a check mark into an "OK" box indicating they understand purchases will be placed into the UV library of the "Sharer".

Even after they unlink because they have a falling out, if the transaction they made was through their Vudu account, the title will remain. Anything you ever purchases from Vudu always stays in your Vudu account. It is just only ever populated into one UV library and if you unlink from a UV library, you loose the UV features.

                        Hope this helps.

I'm clear on the process but it is convoluted enough, due to multiple issues around where something was purchased vs. redeemed, who had or didn't have titles in their library prior, how it was linked etc, that many general consumers are going to get confused and/or be unaware of the implications for their titles (or just be infuriated by the whole processes while trying to figure it out).
I think the intention is great. The implementation is what is poor. When you feel that you really need a flow chart to be able to understand it, it has gotten too complicated to be of net benefit to most folks.
What I think would be great and straight forward is sharing libraries as one would like expect. 5 people with 100 titles that share with each other means that each has access to 500 movies. Any purchases or redemptions they make to UV are on their account but are viewable with those other 5 folks. 2 people drop, they still have all their movies and the other 3 people still see the 300 titles they have amongst one another.

No, Vudu still lists up to 5 invites and uvvu lists spots for 5 subaccounts. Why do you ask?
