Since it's Disney, it will probably be $5 regardless if you have them as DVDs or Blurays, but it's better than $14.99-$22.99 each.
It's possible Disney will prefer something similar to what they offered thru the now-defunct Disney Movies Online service: If you had a title in your DMR redemption history that didn't come with DC (even a Vault title), you could buy a streaming copy on DMO for $5. Reportedly, when DMO shut down in 2012 they refunded all prior purchases; yet titles purchased on DMO (yes, even Vault titles) showed up in DMA when those folks joined. But then standard D2D may be necessary for Touchstone & Hollywood titles since they're not redeemable in DMR.

Also, virtually all Disney titles now have a DMA icon (blue square with Disney "D" in the middle) where the UV icon normally goes; Touchstone & Hollywood titles don't. Even if they disappear tomorrow like the GotG sticker, that pretty much makes it clear DMA integration is just around the corner.

Disney is allowing Paramount to release them? They will insist on DMA not UV? Disney does not have any ownership of those 4 films, period. Nor are they scheduled to in the same way they will take over Star Wars.

So, I'm wondering with these DMA logos on all the Disney stuff, if the "Share My Movies" option will work with DMA like it does with UV. Like, if I have five additional accounts linked to SMM, will they all be able to see my UV and DMA titles once it goes live?

That would be pretty awesome if they do. Still not as good as Disney going full UV, but close...especially if they add all the Touchstone and Hollywood Films titles in there.

Re: Is Disney coming out with a bunch more Digital Copy Plus codes

The physical discs go on sale Dec. 9th. Digital has been a few weeks early for awhile now. We're hoping that the DMA announcement is next week and not Dec. 9th, but it should definitely be by then at the latest.

Two things make me think next week: All the Disney titles now have DMA logos and DMA redemption links, and all the Touchstone and Hollywood films that have only been available for rental are available for purchase starting next Tuesday.

It's not just you, I've been noticing these 2D/3D bundles popping up more and more from Disney. What I don't like is the $34.99 price tag. At least have a sale on them every once and a while please.

...not to mention, this is the first time I can remember Disney Studios doing an early digital release. In the past, their digital releases coincided with the physical shelf stock day.

The newest Thor and Captain America movies were early digital releases. Not sure about anything else since those were the only ones I've bought recently, but it seems like Maleficent was too.

maybe then the Marvel Studios titles qualify for early release. Maleficent physical was 11/4, same as the EST.

Yeah, it probably just seemed like it was earlier since like everything Disney, we are bombarded with reminders everywhere.

Wreck it Ralph was Disney's first digital title to be released a month before it hit the shelves. Frozen was also released early it is not limited to Marvel.

I just noticed DMA now has a small blue icon on the movie pages, that's nice. Just spoke with DMA about an issue and rep told me 11/18 is when VUDU goes live. She thinks the free movie is Meet the Robinsons, she remembers the title being mentioned recently.

So, does this mean that once DMA and VUDU link up that all the films I have in DMA will show up in my VUDU?

I was hoping it would be The Princess and the Frog, because that movie involves... vudu (variant spelling).

Edit: However, they may have intentionally chosen a 3D movie to highlight the fact that Disney 3D movies at Vudu are apparently being included in DMA integration. Though most of Disney's 3D titles at Vudu are now in 2D/3D bundles and the 3D versions are no longer buyable directly (there are exceptions), the 3D versions have DMA icons just like the 2D versions. (Also, Meet the Robinsons was not sold in a DC-eligible version -- even the 3D version omitted DC -- thus it'll be the first DMA freebie I'll actually get free; I already have DCs of The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph, and even The Princess and the Frog.)
