    You can't? That's weird.

    It might be a glitch.

      Not a glitch.

Vudu discontinued the ability to egift movies using credits a few weeks to a month ago.

I have a feeling they probably did it because people were creating dummy accounts just to eGift themselves movies on their main account.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the advantage of doing that? If they have credits, why not use the credits on the main account and just buy it? What does adding the credits to a dummy account and egifting it to yourself get you?

Most or all credit codes from a specific source can only be redeemed a limited number of times per account.
Hypothetical example: there may be a $5 Vudu credit code on a box of kleenex with a limit of 2 per account. If you buy 4 boxes of kleenex you may still want to use those other 2 codes somehow.

I have made two eGift purchases and both were charged against my credit card. the intended recipient did not receive any notice or instructions on how to access the movie for which I paid. Do I not understand the process or did the system fail to produce communications with the receiver? He has checked his email account, inbox and junk mail. His email is "@comcast.net".

              Hi Jay,

Sorry for the trouble you've encountered. It may be worth a try to send it to a different email address. From there, they should be able to sign into the correct account.
