Any chance for a VUDU black Friday sale?

Any chance for a black Friday sale? Last year there was nothing for sale for black Friday or cyber Monday. Would be nice if vudu considers a sale this year.

There was a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale last year.

Afaik it wasn't super exciting but VUDU is likely limited by studios regarding how low they can go.

Maybe in honor of the new DMA partnership, Disney will allow them to have a sale on all their animated classics, Pixar films and Marvel properties for $17.99 HDX!

Sorry if I was mistaken but I don't remember it. Let's see what happens this year.

Walmart's Black Friday ad that just went live advertises Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Vudu for $9.96.

The ad doesn't mention HD or HDX. I wonder if $9.96 is the SD price.

I got a $15 credit to use - I suppose Turtles would be good.

Apes is $14.99 for HDX so I'm hopeful $9.99 is an HDX sale price

Correct me if I'm wrong but would not be prudent to purchase the blu-ray (most likely $14.99) on release day and scan the receipt to get the Vudu copy added via the InstaWatch feature. This way you get the Blu-Ray AND the digital copy

Perhaps, but these three titles will all be digital exclusives on Black Friday. Dawn of Apes is out now on digital, but won't hit BD till 12/2; GotG, 11/18 vs. 12/9; TMNT, 11/25 vs. 12/16.

I can wait...better to have the physical along with the digital.

I don't see turtles as Instawatch eligible.

The Guardians with the digital copy is the 3D version and it will be at least $19.99 on release day.

My post wasn't about Instawatch, which won't be active till the films hit DVD & Blu-ray. The post I was responding to mentioned Instawatch, but even if Ninja Turtles doesn't get it you could still redeem its UV code. (I suspect it'll get Instawatch before it drops.)
