Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

Here's a couple features I'd like to see.

On the Browse All Movies page, I'd like to be able to filter-out movies that I already own. I'd also like to filter movies by Quality (SD/HD/HDX) and whether it's Rent/Own. I want to see a list of HDX movies I can Own and don't already have. These sorting features will help me find more titles to purchase.

A store front in the Collections section for Newly Added Catalog Titles. I'm always looking for new catalog titles to buy.

On the Your Discoveries page, I'd like the option to find movies in my collection. I've got 2000+ movies in my library. Sometimes it can be hard to browse through that huge list to find something to watch. Using the Discover feature would be really helpful.

I'd like some way to find the Holiday movies in my collection. I know I've got a lot of them. But sorting through 2000+ movies is impossible.

All in all it's a nice upgrade except for it seems that it takes more clicks now to start a movie than under the old interface.

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I love the new UI but I have a couple nitpicks.

        - There seems to be a lot of blank space. It makes everything appear smaller even though it's not.

        - I hate the "Play Trailer" button hovering over my movie artwork.

        - As someone else mentioned, the watch list is great but shouldn't be the default section for My VUDU.

        - I don't like that I can no longer see the UV and SD/HD/HDX logos without clicking on the movie. I can no longer see if a movie is UV HD by hovering over it.

        - It's not new, but I still hate that TV show seasons are listed in reverse chronological order under All Seasons.

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I love the new interface on my Roku 3! I agree with most of the critiques identified by the other posters. The biggest one for me is updating the Xbox One interface. I've posted this on the game console boards and the response I keep getting is that Microsoft makes you use a certain interface. That is no longer true. Netflix and Hulu have the exact same interface between my Roku 3 and Xbox One. They enable some Xbox One specific features but the interface is exactly the same. Please update the Xbox One app with this new interface so I can stop posting these complaints.

Also, I would love to see a bundling feature or some way to organize my collection.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in!

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I mentioned this this a while back and it was brought up again, but we really need an easy way to remove a movie from the watchlist.

Also, I really, really, really, dislike the auto play feature. There needs to be a way to turn this off.

I guess I assumed some of the things would have been implemented, but not yet.

I'm probably alone in this, but...

I honestly don't like the new UI. I was hoping features would be added, not a complete re-design.

Maybe it will eventually grow on me, but for now, I still very much prefer the old UI for everything except mobile devices.

Well, there's already been one comment against it here, and Netflix got a LOT of complaints about it when they started that- they eventually added an option to disable it but they still break into the end credits on newer devices which is why I use older ones. I personally don't mind it automatically playing stuff (though if I'm not actually watching it, that makes it harder to know what episodes I haven't really seen) but the "Coming Up" display is unacceptable as is cutting off even a single second of material from the show, even if it's "just" credits or a closing logo. If people want to skip those, they can do that themselves but don't assume that everyone wants to. (I actually wouldn't mind an option to play all my movies automatically, either in the order of purchase or just randomly select them til they've all been played- but of course make that an OPTION, not a default!)

It seems many times when an interface is changed, it's not really because it needed improving but because someone in charge said "We've had this interface for too long, we need a new one!" I'm of the mind if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and don't change it if the new one isn't really an improvement.

BTW the 99 cent movie of the day no longer shows up on either interface, and would be nice to have the "Free Collection" back too as I usually grab all the free stuff that comes up and that's now much harder to find.

On a positive note, the movie recommendation thing is pretty neat, been playing around with that.

You are not alone, I posted a whole thread about it.

                  https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...sponse-problem

I absolutely HATE the new design. It's clunky, requires too many clicks, and the color scheme is hideous. The layout is very unappealing in general, especially getting to features and cast.

Pretty much a deal breaker for me now. I will only buy my non-UV material from Amazon (or DMA) going forward. UV material doesn't matter, as I can play it elsewhere no matter where I buy it.

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I love the new look, the new features, everything. VUDU still stands apart as the most functional and cleverly designed of the UV interface programs. Flixster and CinemaNow are years behind in their newly developed apps (with the UV lockers functioning pitifully as well). In my opinion, it's interface also tops Netflix and Amazon Prime on every single platform I've used.

I like the layout better for My VUDU. I HATE watchlist! I stop a movie at the end credits and stuff stays on there til its replaced by another. I wish when I went to my VUDU then it would just go to movies or have an option to turn off watch list.

Also my movies seems to load cover art slower with the update. Not a huge deal. I hate watchlist though...

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

Yeah, watchlist need the already mentioned fix. I can manually remove everything except tv seasons. When I fast-forward through to clear it off the much disliked auto play appears. I back out before the next episode starts, but low and behold...its in the watchlist. So I can clear movies but tv shows just put the next episode on the watchlist even though it wasn't started and I already watched it. I went back to watch one scene on breaking bad so now I guess it thinks I need to finish the season??

Netflix actually gives the user an option to disable this feature. Actually, you have the ability to set this option for each profile within an account. So, profile 1 could have this feature disabled but profile 2 can have it disabled.

How about Vudu allowing multiple user profiles per account? This way each user can customize how they want their account to be set up.

I just wish there were more flexibility to set up the app. Namely, I wish I could set it to open directly to my collection, rather than having to press a series of buttons just to get to what I already own.
