Yeah, it looks to me like it's worth a rent not a purchase.

          Re: The interview

I have to be honest, I fail to see why people are so worried about UV. Other than sharing it with someone, I see no real advantage to it.

I have found that I have a lot fewer problems with Vudu-only digital content than I do with UV enabled movies.

I think to a lot of people it's a HUGE deal. Vudu is a fine service that I see no reason to abandon it anytime soon, but if somebody else were to create something better I'd like to have the option of moving to them. Sharing is only a small part of it...

                    Re: The interview

UV doesn't particularly interest me. Then again, I don't even know anyone who streams and buys movies with whom to share. As far as bailing on Vudu, wouldn't you lose all of your non-UV movies?

Yep, which is why I am perfectly content to stay with Vudu. I think I buy more Vudu only stuff now than I do UV.

I was frustrated early on with Vudu, but I soon realized that they are trying to do the right thing by their consumers. I see constant improvements in their service. I have just been trying to be more patient when I do encounter an issue.

And let's be honest, the other UV interfaces (Flixster, CinemaNOW, Target Ticket) are all absolute garbage. Garbage quality (I have some UV movies that play in slo-mo on Flixster..lol), garbage customer service, and garbage interfaces.

Amazon and DMA are decent, but even then they can't compare to Vudu as a whole.

Yep, I would, but to be honest I don't really have any. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Indiana Jones are all I can think of out of 800 titles, the rest are UV and DMA.

I don't know about that, it's from the writers/director of This is the End, and that movie was fantastic

Is anyone apprehensive about buying or renting the interview?

I really want to see it but my wife is very afraid that if I buy or rent it that there will be another hack and that the North Korean hackers will have the names are addresses and email addresses and credit card info for everyone who watched the movie. She says that while their threats to attack movie theaters were empty threats, after The Sony hack that have demonstrated that they are very good hackers.

I think my wife is paranoid and that the odds of something like that are astronomically unlikely, but I was wondering if she's alone on this. Does anyone have similar fears?

You can change your credit card to a prepaid card and when youre ready to purchase a movie. change it back to paypal or your regular cc, there is no charge when you put a new card on file and you can change it as many times as you want. also you can load a prepaid card with like 20.00 and use if to buy the Interview, win win. if you have any children that like to press buttons, having a prepaid card on the account acts as an additional security measure
