I had the same problem. Sent feedback to Apple.

Why send feedback to Apple when it?s Vudu?s video?

Same here, after only about a minutes or less of playing Thor: Ragnarok, the video freezes but the audio continues.

Same issue for me. Also COCO froze on me as well so I had to exit and resume and it played good after that but THOR Ragnarok did not want to work once it froze. I have my ATV4K plugged in directly into my Vizio P E1

The Dark Knight is also freezing during UHD playback. Right at the beginning.

I'm having issues with Coco as well. It will play but freezes throughout playback.

For everyone experiencing this issue: I think it will be very helpful for Vudu if you mention the exact model of your TV as well as any receiver/soundbar that your Apple TV 4K is connected to.

FYI, we have reproduced this on a few titles and are investigating. Seems to be an incompatibility between certain Vudu Dolby Vision streams and Apple's player (they are the same encodes used on all other Vudu 4K apps).

                  Thanks Jake!

Is it possible to keep us up-to-date each time a movie has been fixed?

Sure, if you will assume not providing update until their is something useful to say means we are working on it! [unless you are asking for an update on each movie updated to DV5... that?s an ongoing process that I?m not directly involved in]

It looks like the Apple TV is no longer playing the Dolby Vision encode for Thor: Ragnarok. It plays it in HDR. However, the HDR encode is very bright and faded.

No freezing with Coco with the 1.1.1 app and not with Thor Ragnarok anymore. Thor doesn?t freeze like it did yesterday. I wonder if VUDU updated the Dolby Vision profiles for these? I also noted that they?re HDR versus DV.

Black Panther is also playing in HDR10 even though it advertises DV
