Title removed from library & download library

I didn't think this could happen, so a warning to all: a Vudu to Go title (Astaire & Rogers' The Gay Divorcee) that I had downloaded was deleted suddenly beyond my control. The movie, along with another called Roberta, was also stripped from my Vudu library, even though both are still on Vudu. Granted, I got both through Flixster D2D, but less than two weeks ago. $4 down the drain? I never even got to watch them, though I still own the disks of course. I need to check out my state laws to see if I can legally convert and/or move the Vudu Download files from the original download folder.

I thought that especially with old movies, if I bought them they would stay forever. Guess not. I wish the policy were clearer or that Vudu would give a clearer warning (at least an email) before they delete my content. I'm pretty upset.

That's your download library. If you sign into another account on vudutogo, it deletes any movies you've downloaded. So, you didn't lose access to the titles in your account: you can re-download them when you sign into that account again.

Ok, since you missed it the first time: "The movie, along with another called Roberta, was also stripped from my Vudu library" (emphasis added). They're gone from both. And anyways, both issues are important: 1) library content disappearing; 2) content can be deleted by Vudu from the download library on my laptop.

I can't find too much as far as Terms of Service. This is close to addressing your issue.

Can I use VUDU to access UltraViolet movies that I purchased at other retailers and/or redeemed on other services?
Yes, you can stream and download any UltraViolet movies using VUDU, at no extra charge to you, regardless of where they were purchased, provided that: 1) you have registered those movies in your UltraViolet account and 2) VUDU has a licensing relationship with the participating studio or distributor.

Do you have more than one Flixster, UV, or Vudu account? Are those 2 movies still in your Flixster account? If they are still in your Flixster account, it's not $4 down the drain.

Does Vudu offer those 2 titles for D2D? If they do, I'd think they should still be in your account. If you used Flixster to get around Vudu because Vudu doesn't offer those titles for D2D, then you'll have to use Flixster to watch them.

Edit: the movies do show up as being eligible at Vudu for D2D, as far as I can tell. I'm sure Vudu will fix your issue, if it's an oversight on their part, or if it's an account linking issue. I'd be interested to know what comes of this. Why did you convert those movies at Flixster? I think it may be a bit early to be considering a lawsuit.

Since I have the same title, Gay Divorcee, checked on mine, still in my account......yes, the content can be deleted from your lap top as per the other poster, if you sign into another account with VUDU2Go. I do not have Roberta, but I think that you will find that both of the titles are still resident in your VUDU account or at the very least in your UVVU account.

If they are not resident in your VUDU account, you would need to call VUDU and determine the reason(s). I am sure that you can resolve the issue.

This is not a D2D issue, as the movies were in the Vudu acount, unless you are just using D2D eligibility as a surrogate to see if Vudu still carries the movies, but then you would be better to just check the Vudu catalog.
              http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...e-Gay-Divorcee
              http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/10861/Roberta

This could be an ultraviolet ALID (Asset Logical ID) issue, where Vudu's ID doesn't match Flixster's, because one of them was changed or updated.
