    HDX viewing on a Chromebook

Does anyone now if it will EVER be possible to view a movie in HDX on my Chromebook or on a tablet? I don't understand why it's possible to watch HD or HDX on a PC or Macbook but not other devices. Anyone have any info on this? I recently bought a Toshiba Chromebook with a beautiful 1080p IPS display and it would be great to be able to watch my VUDU library in HDX. Thanks!

I have the same Toshiba Chromebook, and it's SUPER annoying not being able to watch my VUDU movies in HDX, especially since I have all my digital movies in VUDU[/U] (271 and counting).

I also have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) and am wondering when Vudu might support HDX playback on chromebooks. I have almost 300 Vudu movies and am very disappointed Vudu hasn't solved this issue by now. Does anyone know when HDX support might come to chromebooks. Vudu, any help on the way?

I also have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 and don't understand why Vudu hasn't addressed this issue. Vudu has appeared to be competitive and keeping up with current technologies like UHD but can't fix it to allow Chromebook users to watch HDX. This is very disappointing. Does anyone know if there are plans to fix this? Vudu, will you please address this please?

Are the specs up to snuff?

Can I watch HDX or HD on the web?
Yes! You can now watch many movies and TV shows in HD and HDX on www.vudu.com. To see if a movie is available to stream in HD or HDX on your computer, click on your movie of choice and you will see a purple banner at the top that says "HDX and HD Now available on PC/MAC computers!" If you do not see this banner, then you can still stream the movie, but only in SD.

          What are my bandwidth requirements?
          Bandwidth requirements are as follows:
          HD - 2.25mbps or higher
          HDX - 4.5mbps or higher
You can test your speed at http://speedtest.vudu.com. If you do not meet the bandwidth requirements to stream in HDX, you can also download in HDX using VUDU To Go.

          What are my system requirements?
          System requirements are as follows:
A PC or Mac with Intel Core i5 (or AMD equivalent) processor
          2gb of RAM
A graphics card and display that are HDCP compliant (if you do not know if your graphics card or display are HDCP compliant, please check with the manufacturer for details).

You may see high CPU consumption while watching HD or HDX on your computer. This is expected. If you see stuttering, please try again after killing other programs that may be running in the background.

What browser should I use to watch movies in HD/HDX?
We support the following browsers - Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. However, we've seen the best results with using the Google Chrome browser.

IIUC, your chromebook should be seen as any other PC, so you should be able to view HDX on any movie where it doesn't have the icon for SD only in the upper right corner of the page (assuming your chromebook has a high enough resolution to support HD video). And you should be able to view it in HDX on your tablet if HDX is listed next to the tablet icon (which is just under the movie description and above the genre/movie length/year/rating)
