CFF ever coming?

Even though I may not actually use CFF, I have always thought it would be a good sign for the future of UV when it does arrive. Never a guarantee, of course, but at least another positive step in the evolution of UV. The fact that it hasn't arrived makes me a little nervous. I have invested so much into UV and Vudu and so the stakes are high for me and a lot of other folks that frequent this forum. Those of you who always purchase the disc are obviously protected. I am not one of those. I started out that way, but over time I have been increasingly purchasing the digital movies only, mostly here on Vudu. Has there been any recent CFF news? Is anyone else getting a bit anxious like me?

It would also help me feel better if Amazon and other major retailers would get on board with UV.

I am with you, I am starting to doubt that it will ever actually be deployed. At this point its hard to tell. There was a recent update to the CFF specification on the UV website, so the team is still thinking about it, but the vendors have never announced any plans to deploy it. It is unhealthy for the ecosystem if they can't fulfill the basic promise that they made. It doesn't give me confidence that UV will really stick around for a long time to come. And I used to be one of the biggest UV supporters. I wish vudu would hurry up and tell us if they are going to support it or not.
