    Official Word on Device Limit?

Vudu is allowing us to register more than 8 devices now but is there any official word on what the new device number limit is? What's the most anyone was able to register recently?

Really? When did this change to more than 8 devices?

I see some that just say andriod and have an ID e.g., Device ID: 0x91 i will have to check if the app shows the device ID so I can rename my devices and deactivate old tablets and phones.

There are two other threads on this:

        https://forum.vudu.com/forum/vudu/ge...ice-limitation

The only thing we have is this:

I had to call VUDU for an unrelated issue.

While on with them, I asked about this device limit. The rep said you can now have 8 hardware devices (Roku, Smart TV, Fire Stick, Gaming systems) PLUS 10 software devices (phones and tablets basically).

He said occasionally some less popular hardware devices will accidentally count as a software device.

I've been trying to test the limit. I currently have 22 devices showing in ?Manage Devices?:
          11 Roku devices
          5 Smart TV's
          1 Blu-ray player
5 show as ?VUDU device?; so I guess software
So, 17 hardware and 5 software.

I was surprised that my 4K Apple TV showed up as a software device.

I'd like to know the limit, but I'm running out of friends and family with smart devices to add. I don?t want all of these permanently connected, but I was hoping to top out.
