Has anyone else been purchasing less movies since the MA/Itunes Debacle?

Anyone with a vested interest in 4K needs to acknowledge that iTunes has a huge advantage in content and pricing.

And I still like Vudu. But they really need to put more into 4K. Getting more content and better pricing. It really annoys me when they have all these $4.99 sales on Vudu but it?s almost always just HDX. Give me the same price for 4K like iTunes!
I hardly invested anything into Itunes so I wouldn't be able to take full advantage of their 4K content. Repurchasing (sorry re gifting) content I own and buying an additional streaming device does not sound appealing to me in the slightest. I wish Vudu would let us know if anything new or exciting is in the works but whenever we get news, it's always bad like studios leaving UV, not more UV sharing, etc.

No, and I wasn't referring to that. I too hope Apple makes it easier to purchase upgrades to MA ported films.

I don't think Apple is interested in catering to anyone other than their own customers. While Itunes was giving away free UHD upgrades, MA was revoking peoples' HD licenses until enough people complained. It's disheartening to say the least.

I don't have a problem with that. However, allowing one to be able to re-purchase films in 4K would actually encourage people to become their customers.

However, iTunes is not alone in the inability to repurchase content. FandangoNow and Amazon are the same.

I truly believe that was an error on MA's end. If memory serves, it was right around the time MA started a Transaction History.

Anyone else notice that our upgraded 4k films have now gone back to HD on iTunes? Also, it doesn't give us the option to buy the 4k version on iTunes!

I believe this was fixed with the recent iOS, tvOS, and macOS updates. Many people were reporting this just before these updates became available. All my 4K movies are fine after the updates.

It has never given us the option to buy the 4K version on iTunes if we already have the HD version (either purchased via iTunes or coming over via MA). You have to "Gift" the 4K version to yourself to get around this.

There was no iTunes debacle. While you must remain ever vigilant, the person moved to a new territory where the movies were not available and they had no right to stream them

I agree with Bickie, the guy moved to a different country. Shame they didn't give him better compensation, but that's about it.

I am buying fewer movies since the UV annihilation though. Like The Spy Who Dumped Me was cute, and I woulda happily bought it for me and my brother, but just for me? Nah. That's okay. I won't be watching it that often.
