Do you happen to know the exact model number of the TV? We have a few 2015 Sony TVs that we can test to see what's happening. Are you still able to play non-HDR UHD, or are you only able to play HDX?

Interesting. Glad to hear that you're able to watch HDR10 again. Let me know if you experience the issue again in the future.

HDR is broken on the Vudu Shield app. It is also broken on the WebOS Vudu app on my LG OLED. 4K is still the resolution but HDR is broken. Other Android TV and WebOS apps are showing in HDR just fine.

This is happening to me now. All my UHD movies will only play in HDX. Sometimes if I restart my shield, the UHD option returns for a short amount of time, then reverts to only letting me playin HDX

I still have this issue and wish someone at vudu would recognize and work on a fix for this issue. I pay a for my media and can't easily play it in the quality I pay for.

Everything else 4k on my shield works flawlessly. Netflix amazon, YouTube ... If I restart my device vudu gives a uhd option for a short amount of time, but after about 30 or so minutes of my TV being in, the option goes away and I can only play hdx.

This is so extremely frustrating and annoying to have to do every time I want to watching something in vudu. Please help!

I am considering the purchase of an Nvidia Shield for use of my Vudu movies. Has this problem been fixed?

Hi, I am having the same problem. Just bought UHD spiderman into the spiderverse. Was looking forward to listening to the Dolby Atmos soundtrack, but it is only allowing me to play the hdx version... Help! I have a Panasonic Viera plasma TV, Onkyo txnr838 reciver and running vudu on my Nvidia shield.

What's the model of your Panasonic Viera TV?

Panasonic plasmas are not 4K capable (no plasma TV supports 4K).

Vudu app hasn't worked or even been available for Nexus Player for years.

What does that have to do with this thread? Seems out of place...

I'm having the same issue with my Shield and Vudu app. It shows that I have UHD version purchased, but only offers to play the HDX version. I can cast it from my phone in UHD to the Shield, but then I am not seeing the HDR flag come up.

See this update from Nvidia - looks like it will be resolved soon.
