I would really like to see The Quick and The Dead in UHD in VUDU. I redeemed my copy at the Sony Store and with the store closing, until VUDU fixes this mine is also stuck. Thanks.

This is great news! Is there any chance of getting the Spider-Man Trilogy UHD redemption fixed on Vudu?

The trilogy includes UHD copies of Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3, along with copies of Spider-Man 2 Extended Cut and Spider-Man 3 Editor's Cut.

On Movies Anywhere, SM2EC and SM3EC are "extras" for the main films. But on Vudu, you sell those separately, instead of bundling them in as extras, which means the port in from MA doesn't work right with Vudu. And right now, the UHD code throws an error when you try to redeem on Vudu.

Would love to be able to redeem on Vudu in UHD -and- get the full set of movies, while I still can.

If not mentioned already - Vudu also needs to incorporate a way for us to test the quality of a code prior to redeeming on Vudu. MA gives us that ability, but like everybody else on this forum - I prefer to redeem my codes on Vudu and do not wish to have to guess if a code will redeem in UHD or burn the UHD code if it does not. This has to be an easy fix. Thanks.

Even if VUDU is not going to sell them at that resolution in that locker type.
I agree! Haven't merged my FN account with MA yet, because it's the only place (besides by UV locker) that my redemption of The Shallows shows as UHD.

Sony is NOT offering UHD redemptions on any 4k Spider-Man disc purchases. This is what they have told us.

Thank you. Oh buddy this is scary to hear. I will not be purchasing any Sony 4K titles in the future until it?s crystal clear on if their codes will redeem 4K anywhere.

This is not correct. Sony and Vudu may not be offering UHD redemptions on 4K Spider-Man titles through Vudu, but Sony IS offering UHD redemptions on the 4K Spider-Man trilogy discs if you redeem at MA. Vudu just isn't allowing the code to redeem (I'm assuming it's because Vudu doesn't have the ability to have a "mixed" UHD/HDX redemption).

If I redeem at MA, I get the three movies in UHD, with SM2EC and SM3EC in HD as "extras". But, as stated, Vudu does not include these two films as "extras" with Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. Instead, you sell them separately, so the import from MA will only include the three mainline films on Vudu. IfSM2EC and SM3ECwere bundled as extras with their respective films (as they are on iTunes), then the full set of five movies would correctly import from MA to Vudu. Alternatively, if Vudu redeemed the code for the current bundle, then that would also solve it by exporting to MA.

Personally, I don't care about UV. MA is where everything is moving. But I am a Vudu fan, and I don't own an Apple TV. It seems unfair that when I redeem my code, Vudu will only recognize rights to three of the five films in the set, while iTunes will recognize rights to all five of the films in the set.

Has anyone tried redeeming this directly from the Sony Pictures Store? Wouldn't that give you UHD UV licenses of all titles? Then they would just import into Vudu.

Doh. Didn't even think of that. If FelipeF or JoeyK think that Vudu can get the redemption issues sorted on the Vudu side, then I'll hold the code to redeem at Vudu. If not, I'll give the Sony Store a shot before it closes.

Actually, I think redeeming via Sony Pictures Store might be the best way to go about it.

Redeeming via Sony will give you UHD codes for all 5 movies. The movies will then import into Vudu at the highest available quality, so as of now you'll get UHD versions of the three main movies and HD versions of SM2EC and SM3EC. However, if and when Vudu gets UHD copies of SM2EC and SM3EC, they will automatically get upgraded since you will already have the UHD licenses in your UV locker.

However, if you redeem the code via Vudu, you will only get HD licenses for SM2EC and SM3EC since those are highest versions currently available here on Vudu. If Vudu ever gets UHD copies of SM2EC and SM3EC, they will not upgrade for you.

I contacted Sony about my UHD/3D copy of Passengers and they asked for a screenshot of my Vudu account showing I owned HD. I sent them that plus the same thing from FandangoNow and Movies Anywhere, all showing HD from my UHD redemption slip. They sent me a replacement code which redeemed UHD at Movies Anywhere.

Now, Vudu just needs to actually get the UHD stream of Passengers on their system.

FelipeF, Jake...any update on this? Are any of these Sony UHD titles going to be added? The 31st is only a week away and would really like to have them upgraded if all possible before the closing. Thanks
