With Sony Picture Store Closing on 1/31/19 - we really need these 7 UHD fixed!

Sony is NOT offering UHD redemptions on any 4k Spider-Man disc purchases. This is what they have told us.

I confirmed that this is incorrect by redeeming my Spider-Man Trilogy UHD code at Sony (since it doesn't work at Vudu).

I was granted UHD copies of all three films at UV and MA, though Vudu doesn't recognize that I own the extended versions of SM2 or SM3 because of the way it bundles the movies.

So whatever is going on with Vudu not being able to properly redeem UHD codes from discs is a Vudu thing (or maybe something that Vudu and Sony haven't been able to come to an agreement on because of costs or whatnot), but it is not a blanket Sony policy thing.

Can someone from Vudu reach out to upper management at Sony Pictures to verify the Spider-Man man UHD. I can grantee you this information Vudu was told is incorrect. And please get the other titles fixed before tomorrow night before it?s too late.

Thank you. Try to get everything 4K UHD added as possible even there's no codes. There's a ton on the Sony Ultra App in UHD that Vudu does't have here. Like 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, etc.

By the way... About half of that list that Vudu doesn't have in 4K, FandangoNow does have in 4K.

With UV shutting down it?s more important than ever that Vudu adds all these UV UHD titles so that they transfer over to MA.

Hey FelipeF, is there anything that contractually prevents Vudu from recognizing and passing through licenses Vudu doesn't actually have the ability to show?

Say on a title Vudu only has in HDX, could Vudu say "You own UHD, but it's not available in UHD here", more or less, so that the UHD license could still pass through from UV to MA via Vudu? If it was possible within contractual obligations, it would at least protect people's collections during this transition period.

This is just ridiculous. I have SEVERAL of these Sony titles that are UHD in UV through the Sony Store and if they don't come through UHD to Vudu before UV closes, I am going to really be annoyed.

I too have several of the titles on the list in Post 53 that show has HD in Vudu, that are UHD in myUV account and/or Sony account/app on TV. I hope they are upgraded in Vudu before Sony shuts down!!

Can VUDU add UHD for these titles as well? With UV set to shutdown this summer, it would be extremely helpful to allow UHD code redemption directly through VUDU rather than having to redeem through different provider and porting through UV library, which will no longer be available once UV is gone.
