Jojo Siwa: My World - UV not importing into Vudu

    https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...eason-1/887904
We got this DVD for my Daughter awhile ago. The digital code was only redeemable through Paramount but it was UV. It's still in our UV library but has yet to import into Vudu. With the UV shutdown, it would be extra appreciated if Vudu could fix this. I will try to email this to Paramount as well. Thank you.

Nickelodeon is not a UV eligible studio on Vudu.

Now that UV is closing, this needs to be fixed. It was only redeemable at Paramount's website, it advertised UV on the DVD, gave UV from Paramount, imported into myUV as UV, and will be lost there forever unless fixed to import at Vudu.

Sorry to hear that RogerJ. I also have some UV movies and TV shows that went into my uvvu digital locker, but what I have learned over the years is that if VUDU doesn't have the UV or MA button (usually by the wishlist and trailer buttons), then they are not going to go on VUDU until it does. Perfect example is with recent TV shows. If I purchase Big Bang Theory: Season 12 (most recent season), then that will not show up as UltraViolet or Movies Anywhere until a certain amount of time has passed. VUDU confused things a bit too, by showing UV logo at the bottom for whatever reasons, but I can't fully understand everything they do either.

What website did you use when you redeemed Jojo Siwa: My World: Season 1? Can you look in Amazon, iTunes or Google Movies to see if it is in one of those places to play? The UltraViolet locker extends to them and I do not use the others very often, so not sure what ports over fully or not, but it's worth a shot to view it on your TV. Hope that helps a bit.

The title isn't MA, and none of the other streamers except FandagoNow and CN which is gone, supported UV.

The big issue is that the Walmart exclusive DVD was the only one that had the code. All other retailers that sold this DVD did not include a code.

I wasn't implying that this was a MA title or otherwise. Just pointing out that unless VUDU has the UV or MA button to redeem, then it will not port to VUDU, because it's not UV in VUDU directly.

Exactly. Since it was a Walmart exclusive (that advertised UV and even gave UV rights via Paramount), you'd think that Vudu would have UV rights for it since they are Walmart owned. And since FandangoNow doesn't carry it, after UV dies so does access to this title.

You kind of did imply it by claiming that the UltraViolet locker extended to Amazon, iTunes and Google Play.

The only way a movie can transfer from your UltraViolet locker into one of those retailers is if the movie also has a Movies Anywhere license, in which case Vudu will act as an intermediary allowing the movie to pass through from UV into MA.

Yes, I contacted VUDU in December 2017, when the DVD first came out. It was a Walmart exclusive first before it was sold at other retailers. I saw the UV sticker and thought my daughter would be able to easily watch it on VUDU. But when I went to the VUDU website, it did not have a redeem button. So I contacted VUDU and basically got a similar response. Here is my communications with VUDU:

The Wal-mart exclusive Jojo Siwa: My World DVD (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jojo-Siwa...Set/427278342) contains an ultraviolet code but Vudu does not have a place to enter code (https://www.vudu.com/movies/#!conten...Siwa-My-World) Can you fix this?

                        VUDU response:

Thank you for contacting VUDU Customer Care
After looking at your case I search on Vudu an it looks like that movie is not UV compatible. Unfortunately, we don't have the option to redeem that movie on Vudu.If the redemption states a web site were to redeem movie I suggest you go to suggest site on slip.
