No idea who maintains this - but it lists where you can redeem.

Someone said if you redeem on MYUV it will always give you the UHD rights. Now if they port to Vudu is another question.

Some studios like Sony only work with their app. And if the redeem doesn't make it to your UV locker as UHD, then it probably never will.

I believe that would be FattyMoBookyButt. He has his own thread on this forum.

I have the ROku Ultra and receive UHD from Vudu. But since I'm using a Sony UHD TV it's only SDR since my TV has HDR10. The ROku Premiere+ should also be able to receive UHD content from Vudu.

I really wish HDR10 would show up on Vudu soon!

No, I keep hoping it will one day start working with an update, but it has been months and no change. The app is unusable on my LG TV because of this connection bug. Glad I'm not the only one with this issue though.

"Vudu will be available before the end of year on Samsung 2016 4K TVs"

....And now it's mid-February and still nothing... Embarrassing and ridiculous.

At this rate, I would almost bet that HDR support doesn't come until 2018, if ever.

Yeah, I don't know why they're taking so long to implement HDR-10 as I thought that HDR-10 was easy to implement and that Dolby Vision was the hard one to do?

                    41 UHD
                    771 HDX

The fact that the competition, which hardly anyone I know uses regularly, already has it implemented is sad.

Seriously, like what is the deal with the 4K for Samsung?

I keep buying HDX movies instead of UHD. I'm almost at the point of just buying a UHD player and buying physical copies again.

Re: VUDU UHD - Compatible Devices List

It's hard to keep up with all this technology. I had to get a Pioneer sc-97 because my sc-87 wasn't 2.2 compatible. Then i had to get a samsung ks8500 SUHD tv because i wanted hdr and my old tv didnt have it. I finally got my roku 4 to play uhd titles with atmos on VUDU after playing around with it for awhile. (I kept getting a 2.2 hdcp error and it would just play hdx. I got it working by plugging my roku4 into my tv first and playing a movie then i plugged it back into my receiver)
So do i now have to upgrade to a roku premire plus to play VUDU with hdr whenever it becomes available in HDR10? I just bought a samsung K8500 blu ray player but i have alot of money invested in VUDU UHD titles so i want it to be up to date.

Question regarding VUDU's offerings and distribution method for movies:
                                • Why can't you offer all of your content for purchase (3D/UHD/etc.) vs. segmenting by devices?
                                • As a consumer why can't I log in through my TV or XBox or PC and purchase/play whatever I want through my devices? It would seem to me I should at least be able to *see* and purchase what I want. If my device cant handle 4K then I could play the HDX, If my device cant play 3D then send it through and I just wont be able to watch it...

I do not understand what, if any, technical hurdles there are to allow this so I'm curious.

What VUDU has created is not only segmented visibility but also segmented playback based on products consumers have. My example:
                                • Sony X930D - Top of the line 4k HDR TV, 3D capable (I bought is specifically for the 3D because I actually really like it...) released in 2016. Via the built in VUDU app I cannot see, purchase, or play UHD or 3D content despite owning said content.
                                • Xbox One S - I can see and purchase UHD content, however cannot see, purchase, or play back 3D movies
                                • Chromecast (Not Ultra) - I cannot see UHD content, however I can play my 3D movies

It's frustrating and a head scratcher that I have to use 3 different devices to just *see* VUDU's content.

I also am struggling to understand how my 4k, UHD, HDR, 3D TV which has been out for nearly 1 year is not yet supported. When will Sony and Samsung TV's be supported for UHD (or 3D for the last breath of 3D TV's)?

Again at this point I'm just trying to understand more... Please help!

                                -Steve
