yes please. This is silly that it's not available by default on UHD hdr compatible devices. It's going to ensure I don't use this service until it's available.

I 100 percent know I own the mummy in uhd. I can't play back the title in hdr10 on my Chromecast Ultra. It defaults to the HDX stream.

I have a Dolby Vision tv, so I can't confirm on other uhd titles if the CCU plays Vudu HDR10...they all playback at the highest HDR available on the Chromecast... Dolby Vision.

So, CC U not doing HDR 10 Vudu right now?

I'm not aware of the Chromecast Ultra having HDR-10 on Vudu yet. I know of the Roku and Nvidia Shield having Vudu HDR-10 and only on certain titles. That is why I wish Vudu would have just turned "ON" HDR-10 on all Dolby Vision titles instead of only a few at a time.

That's very strange as I'm using the Roku Ultra as well and those titles are showing as HDR-10. I would call Vudus technical support to see what might be the issue in your case.

This may not be an issue with VUDU. I have the Roku Ultra (2017) and am getting many Warner Brothers titles in HDR10. So the issue may be on the Roku or TV side. As a first step I would check the settings of the Roku to insure that you have the necessary display settings enabled and available. The Roku will auto detect your available display type and to get 4K HDR10 you must have a display type of 4K HDR 30hz or 4K HDR 60hz. If this is the case and you are not getting HDR availability in the Roku VUDU app then the the problem is elsewhere.

I will double check the settings; however, my TV is a Sony 2016, Android TV with HDR so it should be compatible. I made sure that all my cables are compliant. So I'm at a loss.

Ok Folks, I've discovered something that I did not realize. After looking online, and reading some information on the Roku Player, I discovered that some "channels" of streaming UHD require that your TV/HDMI input is 60mhz for you to see the HDR while others don't. Following Kotor29's advise, I rechecked the settings on my Roku and TV. First I checked my Roku (it's display setting was on "auto-detect"). Lo-and-behold it showed that it was set for 4K HDR 30 MHz. Imagine my surprise! My TV is a 2016 model Sony Android HDR TV capable of 60 MHz. I just assumed that was the default setting. I went into my TVs settings to find that the HDMIs were all set at "standard" playback (30 MHz). I went through and changed them all to "enhanced" (60 MHz). After restarting the TV, and the Roku, HDR was no longer grayed out on Vudu via the Roku. Now, as many have mentioned, it's only on Warner/New Line titles (so far), but it's not on all of them either. I found that Jupiter Ascending, Into the Storm, Pan, Sherlock Holmes are just some of the Warner titles that HDR is still grayed out on. So, for those of you that have one of the Rokus that are supposed to show the HDR, make sure you HDMI inputs are set to 60 MHz; otherwise, you'll never get the HDR (unless Vudu changed something to allow it)

I also have a Sony Android TV (XBR-940D) and my next question was going to be what TV do you have, Because as you discovered getting HDR up can require some troubleshooting. Every link in the chain must be compliant. Some TV's, like ours, require that you enable high speed on each individual HDMI input. Other TV's have only one or 2 HDCP 2.2 HDMI inputs that must be used for 4K HDR. Another issue I had with the Roku Ultra is that in the advanced settings there is an option for native output (30 or 60 MHz). But this was a disaster because it caused constant stutters when the videos started and stopped. Even to do something as simple as rewinding would cause the stutter and cause the signal to drop and require an exit to the title screen. It also caused HDCP errors. I highly recommend just using 60 MHz!! It is smooth and reliable. By the way, I am very pleased with my Roku, it just requires some tweaking...

That does seem to be the case. UHD is even being blocked from being casted from the mobile app to my TV. The wait to watch Vudu UHD on my Sony OLED continues...

My TV is the same model. In my Roku, I have it set to "auto" with regard to detecting the type of TV/HDMI and it seems to be working correctly (so far), but maybe I'll just move it to "60 MHz" from the list so I don't run into the issue you mentioned. You're right, the Roku just needs a little tweaking, but it otherwise has worked wonderfully. I check for updates at least a couple of times per week.

Quick question as far as support for the built in app and casting to the 2017 e series that got updated to allow 4K and HDR support. I am only seeing the 4K support without HDR10. I've tried movies like Wonder Woman, but no luck. That movie displays HDR fine from my Xbox One X over HDMI1, but not seeing it through the cast or built in app.

So UHD titles won't work on LG EF9500 models (using the VUDU app on the TV) due to HDR compatibility issues?

Please fix this; the 65EF9500 is an amazing 4k television and it's a real shame that VUDU UHD is not an option to view on the set!
