Disney is starting their Disney+ streaming service this fall and they're going to make all Disney content exclusive to Disney+. In short, Star Wars films won't be available to buy on Vudu sooner or later. You'll get to keep the titles you already own I imagine, but once Disney+ starts even the older SW films will probably not be available to buy on Vudu anymore. I know for sure that the Disney content will be removed from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon but the articles I've read don't mention Vudu but I imagine it will affect Vudu regadless. They also somehow got exclusive rights to the Simpsons so once Disney+ starts, The Simpsons will only be available to stream on Disney+. I imagine if you bought episodes on Vudu already you'll get to keep those but you won't be able to buy future episodes once Disney+ starts, according to various articles.

Not one word of that is true.

Posting that you won't be able to buy Disney titles from the stores you currently do is garbage, without any merit, and posted only for shock value.

Disney+ will be the only place to find their content when it comes to subscription services, but it will not effect buying their titles whatsoever. Disney+ is not a store. They want you to continue buying their movies from whoever wants to sell them because... money. They own Movies Anywhere for heaven's sake.

If you can produce one article you claim to have read that backs up your assertion that you won't be able to purchase Disney titles anyplace other than Disney, I'll come over to your house wearing Mickey Mouse ears and throw you a pizza party. You can pick as many toppings as you want. No soda though because I don't want you getting diabetes.

Oh and the reason Disney "somehow got exclusive rights to The Simpsons?" It's because they own The Simpsons.

Yes, of course they are removing their content from Netflix & other subscription services. Vudu is NOT a subscription service. Next you'll be saying that Disney is pulling all DVD & Blu Rays off the shelf.

I did slip on one line and made one of my opinions sound like a fact but on the other two instances, I did clearly say Vudu was not mentioned in the articles and that I imagine it will affect Vudu. I do not trust Disney, they are too greedy and they will most likely start selling the films down the line and that would have an impact on Vudu but time will tell. Not sure why I really care since I don't like Star Wars, Pirates, or any of those silly Marvel films but Disney is just getting too greedy and they seriously need to be regulated.

Will they take away content from subscription services like Netflix and Hulu? More than likely with Netflix. Hulu, I don't know since they own a stake of that. Prime? If titles were free to watch, more than likely, but I highly doubt they will be removing content from streamers where they SELL 1 title at $20, compared to selling ALL of their library for a month for half that price.

I always forget about rentals. I haven't rented a movie since 2013 when I started using Vudu. LOL

It's laughable to even think Disney would pull all their content from streaming services, where they would make MORE money than on their streaming service. It's laughable. It ain't gonna happen. Netflix, and Hulu, sure, more than likely, but Amazon, Vudu, iTunes, GP, FN? Not happening.

They are ONLY pulling their content from subscription streaming services that directly compete with their own upcoming subscription streaming service.
