Purchasing Questions - UHD Come with HDX, SD?

    Purchasing Questions - UHD Come with HDX, SD?

    I have some questions:
    • If I purchase a UHD movie, does that include the HDX and SD versions of the title as well?
      • Keep in mind I have to ask because I have a specific instance where this failed with a 3D movie purchase. Vudu gave me only the 3D version that's 3D in HDX, not any other combination such as normal 4k, HDX or SD. It's petty of them to have limited it in this fashion.
      • If I do purchase a title can I download it to a device for offline viewing (aka. travel, device maybe even in Airplane Mode).
        • If this works, how long does it work for (days/hours)?

    To the best of my knowledge, purchasing UHD will also give you all lesser resolutions available for that title.

    3D purchases are different, but many are available as a bundle with 3D/2D, such as Age Of Ultron:

    This is because the 3D encode is entirely different from the 2D.

    You can download to a device, but it is limited to viewing only on that device. You can not transfer to an external drive or another device.
    There is no time limit once downloaded.

      Yes. When viewing on a UHD compatible device the resolution is selectable to UHD, HDX, and even SD. When viewing a selection you have UHD rights to on a non-UHD device the resolution will be available at the highest level of that device, i.e. HD or SD.
