I don't have a Sony TV, but I do have a PS4 Pro and I kept waiting and waiting for the Ultra app to show up on there, but it never did. I probably wouldn't have used it anyway because I've been burned by Sony ( buying video from them ) previously.

I have to disagree on this point as I thought the Ultra streaming service was the worst of any provider. I would usually just get constant buffering with this service even with a very fast connection. I didn't have a great Sony TV (XBR-43X800D) either and this may be the reason?

    809 HDX

I had deleted that email from Sony without opening it up. After reading this thread, I went back in my trash, reopened the email, copied the code and redeemed it at Movies Anywhere, and got Salt and the Fifth Element in 4K. Thanks for providing this info....almost let this one get away.

I got a code for three titles, all previous Sony Pictures Store redemptions in 4K; I set up the Ultra app on my Sony 4K/3D TV but never bought anything from it. Two of them were already 4K at Vudu & MA (The Angry Birds Movie & Spider-Man: Homecoming), but Ghostbusters (2016) isn't 4K at Vudu; now at least it's 4K at the other MA retailers. Time to catch up, Vudu!

Not to be a total jerk...because Vudu is my favorite video platform, and their customer service is excellent...but I don't think Vudu had anything to do with this. In fact, the 4 titles that this code from Sony gave in 4k at Moviesanywhere aren't even available to watch in 4k through Vudu.

This was almost a middle finger from Sony to Vudu, having provided their 4k rights for their titles to Moviesanywhere and not Vudu.

If only Vudu would respond/react to digital issues/concerns the way that Sony proactively is. SMH. I just don't understand it - joke.

I figured people would miss it as junk with other Sony emails and miss the code. Surprised there hasn't been more responses. Just trying to get word out before things shut down.

I'm glad to see Ultra going away. There were many times where the titles would have constant buffering even on a fast 150 Mbps connection. At least with MA we can watch on multiple vendor sites.

I should have said both Ultra and SonyPicturesStore.

The thing that sucked about ULTRA (and still does since it is still operational until 07/26/2019) is that only a select few movies were available for streaming. Obviously only Sony titles were available but it wasn't all Sony titles. It was like a select library of rotating titles that changed every few months. You could see all the titles in you UV library listed but only a handful could actually be accessed and streamed.

Personally I never use ULTRA. But it's nice that with UV going down they are not exclusive to ULTRA anymore. Happy I have them in MA now in 4K, not just the previous HD. Now if only Vudu would get up to speed on their MA synching with 4K titles.
