    Re: Breaking Bad Censored

Regardless of what scene, time, episode is censored, why does Vudu have a different version than itunes?

In the end, it's just a TV show folks, I'd rather see them concentrate their efforts in fixing titles with erroneous encodes and aspect ratios.
It's not "just a TV show", it's a TV show that some people paid good money for, and they're not getting what they expected. I would certainly expect to get the DVD/Bluray version if I paid for it, and I would prefer to get my money back than pay for a censored version. I just let my daughter watch Die Hard, and while I was cringing a little at the language, I remember cringing more at the watered-down, fake-sounding network versions. I don't think I ever was able to sit through one completely.

tl;dr version: consumers have a right to know exactly what they're paying for.

Exactly. Very well said. Part of the reason I bought the series collection, and not the individual seasons, was because I wanted the Ultra Violet copies. I am on disability. A lot of days I can't get out of bed because my back, which has had four surgeries, and my left leg, which has had six surgeries, hurt so much. I am PAYING for the Ultra Violet copies I have in my collection (nearly 300 movies, and currently Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Better Call Saul in television) because there are times I don't have the strength to get up to change a Blu-ray disc. I've bought some 400 movies on DVD, and over 500 on Blu-Ray. The movies I've got that didn't come with an Ultra Violet copy, I've bought digital copies if they're available. And when I bought Breaking Bad, nowhere did it indicate that the digital copy was censored. It's not about not seeing a few breasts, or hearing a couple swear words. It's that the editing to remove these elements is distracting, because what we are seeing and hearing is not as the show runners intended; and, it's about the principle involved.

Additionally, if you guys don't have anything to say that's germane to the topic at hand, please leave your comments out of this discussion.
