The Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy 4K

The following bundle: The Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy should be available for both purchase and redemption in 4K. This trilogy was released today on 4K Blu-ray and comes with a 4K code that redeems UHD at Movies Anywhere. Vudu has each of the 3 titles available in this trilogy already available in UHD so there's no reason the bundle shouldn't be available in UHD. Thanks FelipeF

Please make this bundle UHD. You guys did great work making an Apocalypse Now 4K bundle - this should be even easier since all 3 movies are all already UHD individually, just need the bundle. Thanks in advance Felipe and company.

This could be a long wait. Felipe mentioned a few months back that VUDU had received permission from Sony to add the MIB Trilogy to their site in UHD quality. Well, flash forward to today and it's still not available in UHD quality.

No-brainer, common-sense, customer-pleasing decisions don't seem to make sense to VUDU. They string you along for what seems like forever. I have no idea why it frequently takes them months / years to add new UHD films / bundles when other retailers diligently add them on release day. I'm even more unsure about why several studios are consistently AND clearly intentionally holding back their UHD transfers from them (ex. SONY & LIONSGATE catalog titles; A24 I believe across the board). The situation has gone beyond merely sad and ridiculous at this point.

This is for redemption only, not for EST.

And I still don't believe the MIB Trilogy is available for redemption in UHD quality via VUDU's website. The 4K redemption spreadsheet available elsewhere shows that the code still redeems only in HDX. I gave up a long time ago and went with Movies Anywhere, after holding out and hoping that the problem would be fixed before the death of Ultraviolet. So much for acquiring UHD UV rights.

Thanks for responding Felipe. How about an update on The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy? This is big favorite of mine and really don't want to redeem my UHD code (1 for all 3 movies) on MoviesAnywhere when Vudu clearly has each of them available in UHD. Just like Apocalypse Now - which you fixed very quickly. Thanks.

This is only available in UHD for InstaWatch purchases. The studio said no to code redemptions and EST purchases.

FelipeF The digital code that came with the 4K Blu-ray redeems 4K at Movies Anywhere. Attached is a screen shot of the redemption option with a 4K code at Movies Anywhere for reference. Cornetto_Trilogy_4k.jpg

Studio said no UHD redemptions, sorry.

A lot of hate for Vudu from the studio lately I guess.

So in some cases, the studio will allow redemptions in higher qualities at one provider over another? Such as allowing Movies Anywhere to give UHD redemptions but Vudu only HDX. Very strange of Universal to do this. Thank you for doing what you can FelipeF and for responding so promptly, we appreciate it.

Movies Anywhere is a keychest, not a provider. It doesn't sell anything.

If you redeem the code at MA, you'll get UHD at Vudu.

The more interesting bit is that FelipeF confirmed that this title is Instawatch. So if you really want a Vudu redeem in UHD for whatever reason, buy it at Walmart.

You are correct that MA is not a provider. My goal here, as it is with most of my posts, is to have Vudu provide the redemption in the highest quality possible; it should redeem in the same quality at all the providers and at Movies Anywhere. Sure I could redeem elsewhere and walk-away, but I'm trying to help get this title fixed so that others who redeem in the future don't run into HDX redeems when they were expecting UHD.

We've heard that it is the "studios decision" on multiple occasions only to see a UHD redeem on Vudu in hours, days, weeks later. I may just give up waiting though and redeem on MA. I really don't want to change my preferred provider though.
