Re: Lionsgate UV Codes on 4k ULTRA HD movies are expired.

Where (which site) did you redeem Hancock on?

I want to redeem Crouching Tiger but want to make sure I get the UHD version since it is the code in the UHD disc.

Ender's Game code expired 2/15/15 and Expendables 3 code expired 11/25/15. Since these copies were not released until 3/1/16 the enclosed codes were for the original BD releases. I sent an email to Lionsgate digitalcopy support (not the easiest page to find on the site) about this on 5-6 and have not heard back from them. I'm guessing I should try the UV support people next.

Interestingly Sony's 4k UHD version of Hancock went through with no problem.

    Hancock
    2008 1 hr 32 mins Action, Drama
    PG-13
Academy Award nominee Will Smith (Best Actor, The Pursuit of Happyness, 2006) stars in this action-packed comedy as Hancock, a sarcastic, hard-living and misunderstood superhero who has fallen out of favor with the public. When Hancock grudgingly agrees to an extreme makeover from idealistic publicist Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman, Juno), his life and reputation rise from the ashes and all seems right again--until he meets a woman (2003 Academy Award? winner Charlize Theron, Best Actress, Monster) with similar powers to his and the key to his secret past.

    SD, UHD, HD
    Acquired May 5, 2016

Just something to consider before buying a Lionsgate 4K UHD title......

    Re: UHD Redemptions

Is it still only the same three 4k UHD disc titles redeeming on Vudu that give you UHD streaming:

    Lego Movie
    Mad Max: Fury Road
    San Andreas

Or are there more now ?

This is what I received from Fox "Please be aware 4K titles will not come with 4K digital downloads. We currently do not have any information regarding ultra high def digital transfer. Please note your current HD download will not convert when and if UHD ever becomes available."

No it was not the code from 4K. I was pointing out that myuv typically sends you elsewhere to redeem.

Just checked Concussion and it wants to send me to Vudu, Flixster or Sony to complete the redemption. I haven't seen the option to not redeem at a provider, but I don't typically test codes there.

It depends on what the code The Martian is supposed to give you. Some of these new UHD titles give HD, some UHD. It's up to the studios. But by redeeming directly from UV you will at least be assured of getting the highest quality you are due, as opposed to the highest quality the provider has at the time. In your example, if Fox does give a UHD digital copy code, then yes, it will eventually turn to UHD in Vudu when they get it.
