Vudu-To-Go doesn't work in full screen on Windows 10. We need a UWP store app!

    Vudu-To-Go doesn't work in full screen on Windows 10. We need a UWP store app!

    Perhaps I am the only one but when I play back movies on Vudu-To-Go in Windows 10 they play back fine until I try to go full screen then I get only audio and no video. Can anyone else confirm this? I first noticed it on my Surface 3 and thought perhaps it was just that then I noticed it does the same thing on my desktop. We really need UWP store app for Windows 10 that can be ported to the Xbox One and replace the barely acceptable Vudu app there.

    This has been going on for years now. What works for me is just minimizing the screen and then maximizing again. The video will now work maximized. Let us know if this worked or not.

      I have noticed this for a long time too but since it still hasn't been fixed I finally got around to posting about it. Are you talking about full screen or full window? It works when the window is maximized but if I hit the full screen button on the bottom right the picture goes black. Minimizing then bringing the window back then hitting full screen doesn't work for me.

        I'm not sure if you're using Windows or Mac but I'm talking about the _ block X in the top right of the browser. I just click the _ to minimize and then maximize and it fixes it. This was quite a while ago so not sure if it still works as of late.

          Windows 10. I am referring to the full screen toggle on the bottom right with the opposing arrows not the Windowing maximize/minimize/close buttons at the top right. In maximized window mode it works but it's when you toggle full screen (no toolbars, only the movie) that it goes black.

            I wish I had found this thread a week ago, it would have saved a little time. I've been having discussions with VUDU, specifically regarding this Windows 10 App build (1.1.17.0). With respect to downloading, I gain no increased streaming improvement (1080p) regarding DMA titles.

            One administrator responded that "Due to licensing, the titles are only available in SD on computers and phones. Disney is extremely picky with their licensing." WRONG.

            DMA movies work in HDX on my phone and PC, if I am using a browser. DMA movies will not play in HDX when using the Windows 10 app.

            I spoke to another person today and advised them I figured out was the error was. They are now reportedly escalating the request. However, with only 5 comments, this obviously may not be a major priority for them. Here's to hoping.
