Buy Bill & Ted movie for $25?

I’ve been a subscriber since 2013. I’ve purchased 312 movies and rented enough that my tally is about $8,000. The only incentive I received was a &15.00 credit back in 2014. When I discovered Fandango offered new releases for the same prices at better resolution, I wrote to Vudu and encouraged them to develop a rewards program without mentioning Fandango. $10K wasn’t worth enough for a response. Now they’re feeling the pinch and want $24.99 for new Bill &Ted movie. Are they nuts? I have no interest in continuing to pay the salary of the agent who ignored me, nor paying $25.00 for a movie. Do what I did and move on. Let’s see if Vudu has the integrity not to delete this post.

Imagine thinking your 312 movies is keeping Vudu afloat lol. I’ve spent over $35,000 btw. Here is an amazing idea...if you don’t want to buy the movie for $25....don’t buy it.

If $24.99 is considered expensive it seems like somebody needs to consider a new hobby. By the way 300 movies really isn't squat.

No reason for this thread to be so hostile.

The price is higher than a typical rental or purchase because the studios are trying 'premium' video-on-demand as an alternative for people who don't want to (or can't) go to a theater. Normally you wouldn't even have a chance to rent the movie digitally until 60-90 days after it was released in theaters. Bill & Ted isn't even the first to do this or try this price point. Some other notable films were Trolls World Tour and Scoob. And these prices are basically the same across all the retailers, not just Vudu. If you can rent it cheaper somewhere else I'd say go for it.

              1. I have nearly 3,000 movies purchased. I've spent WELL more than $10K.
              2. I've received more than $15 is credits. Exactly how much I have no idea. But somewhere more like $200 I expect. Likely use do Vudu often giving credits for preorder purchases. Why would there be rewards for mostly rentals.
              3. Bill & Ted 3 isn't even available for purchase at FandangoNOW. In fact they want $20 to RENT IT. Vudu is offering OWNERSHIP with purchase for only $5 more at $25 plus you get a $3 credit for purchase. $25 isn't out of line for new release. And besides this is considered an early theatrical release which most are usually rent only for a few weeks. Mulan on D+ is $30 plus subscription and that's only for rental.
              4. I buy movies on both. I have apps for both on all my devices. Sure only some movies transfer with MA.
