Another month, and no news from Vudu. Google says 'contact the app provider' . . . .

This app is so broken. I had to restart the app to get it to recognize UHD playback and no Atmos. Was hoping today's Google TV update would fix things but it's the Vudu app. I get Dolby Vision and Atmos from all other apps that support it. I wanted to stop using my Roku Ultra 2020 as it still has lip sync issues here and there but I can't yet. Vudu app being broken is a deal breaker. Also, at least for me, it really won't even play UHD, the "reception bar" stays at one bar and will stop playback. All other apps stream just fine.

I don't like how the app is broken either, but in their defense, it's not written specifically for the CCWGTV. But it would be nice to get an update from Vudu to see if they're even paying attention...

Nope. It's a Google 'update' not Vudu. The Vudu app is the same (not working) one as before.
The Google update doesn't improve 4k support for older LGs. It adds 4k/60hz and 4k/23.97 both of which disable Dolby Vision even though my LG supports 4k/23.97 with DV.

Hopefully the update that Google provided is what was necessary for Vudu, Disney+, Movies Anywhere, etc. to provide Atmos on the device.

DrCos I agree I have an LG B8 and can't get smooth playback on the device. However the new 4k smpte option that disabled Dolby Vision helps until they get it squared away!

Any update on this? HBO MAX just releaesd an update that fixed Dolby. Would be nice if vudu did the same....dolby audio is still broken.

I'm still not getting Atmos with the HBO Max app on the new Chromecast with Google TV. Maybe I dont have the update yet.

The update fixed the PCM on most programming to be DD, but broke Atmos. Good times.

it was working over the weekend but now only gives me option for HDX and no longer UHD. This is happening on 2 of the new Google Chromecasts - one connected to a 75" vizio and one connected to an Optoma 4K projector. the projector worked perfectly this weekend but no longer!!!!! ugh. back to another source for my movies.....

no problems for me last night when i tested. UHD was working with Vision/Atmos as it should.
