It's very odd that The Hobbit Extended editions do have the extras/appendices, but the Lord of the Rings Extended editions don't.

I want to take advantage of the $49.99 deal to update all 6 movies from HDX to 4K, but it irks me to no end that the extras are missing. Is there any chance they will be added?

If Vudu request them, or adds them if the studio already sent them over. Just a toss up.

Does anyone know if the non UHD versions have been upgraded to the new source? I'd like to watch the trilogy with the remastered effects, but I don't believe I'd be able to watch the UHD version on my PC (my internet is fast enough, but I only have a 2k monitor). I already own the HDX version of these films, but would definitely upgrade to UHD if I could somehow watch them.

It's not the internet speed, Vudu doesn't allow any UHD content over a PC.

          527 UHD
          760 HDX
          5 SD
