Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     "Disc + Digital" - Please Add UHD Disc's

    Love the Disc + Digital program, especially since InstaWatch is so hit or miss in which ones are included or what version you get.

    BUT, can we PLEASE add UHD disc to the program titles when UHD is offered on Digital. It only makes since when you have both DVD and Blu-Bay on D+D, but UHD only on Digital.

      But if you purchase a UHD disc, wouldn't you then have the digital code as a way to add it to your digital library?

        Yes, the same as with DVD or Blu-Ray.

        The point of the program is that you get the digital to watch now in the format you want to pay for, and get a new sealed copy later in the mail.

        This is really an advantage for Vudu early view titles where you can watch weeks before the disc officially comes out.

          The problem as i see it is with the handful of UHD disks I have purchased the redemption code for Digital HD is only an HDX copy. You have to outright buy the UHD digital copy at usually 30 bucks to have it digital.

            This will change. It started with WB. But we're seeing Universal too. Sony and Lionsgate just aren't coming over to Vudu UHD yet.

            Using WB as an example though with the D+D program you would get the UHD digital and they would mail you the UHD disc. Much the same way they do with Blu-Ray/HDX and DVD/SD.

            I'm fine with them only offering this on titles they currently have on UHD digital which is really no different then what they are going with Blu-Ray and DVD. They don't offer it on the D+D program if they don't have a matching quality on digital.
