Seems to be missing the watch free section. Some folks also saying they can only stream in HD

Let's expect a update around the very end of March or around the month April to hopefully fix most of these bugs.

Just downloaded it a few mins ago, and yep, no Watch Free and I can only stream in HDX, even if it says I own the UHD. Looks like it isn't fully rolled out yet, or is very buggy? And yes, i'm using it on a Fire Stick 4K.

My Vudu UHD titles play fine on my Fire Stick 4k attached to 43" Roku tv. Tested it on "My Fair Lady", "Goldeneye", and "Wall-E".

Same here. Tested on a Vizio P75-C1 as well as a LG C9 and both will play 4k HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Don't know why some are reporting not being able to play 4k content?

Yeah, no idea. My other apps play 4K/Dolby Vision/HDR where applicable just fine, and my Xbox One plays Vudu UHD fine too, hooked to the same TV. I have my display on the stick set to Auto (up to 4K). Any ideas or someone from Vudu care to comment?

I seem to only be getting SD playback on my 4k firestick

tested things out on two separate tvs (one was a 1080p and another was a 4k bravia) and movies were limited to SD playback on both using the Fire TV app downloaded directly from Amazon's store.

I discovered something very odd: How I got it to work on my older 4K stick and older TV (2016) was to set the Display on the stick itself to 2160 60hz (4K) by default, and then the new app plays UHD content fine. With Auto, it did NOT work; just played HDX and SD.

With the stick plugged into a newer TV from a few months ago with eARC ports, the new Vudu app works fine with UHD, even with the Display on the stick set to Auto. Very odd. Still think there must be a bug with detection on the app somewhere.

Try this to see if it resolved your issue:

Manage Installed Applications > Vudu Fire TV menu,‘Clear Cache’ (not Clear Data as that will sign you out) and then force stop the app and launch again.

                          nope, changed nothing. Still SD

I think it various from device to device because my firestick in the kitchen is HD but the 4K one in the living room is limited to SD
