    BODIES BODIES BODIES - Problem - Redeeming as HDX from UHD disc

    I just redeemed by 4K UHD disc of Bodies Bodies Bodies and Vudu redeemed as HDX instead of UHD

    When I went to redeem the only option was Vudu, ala Lionsgate so yeah, and there was no other choice.

    Can we get this fixed and proper UHD added to my account.

    That would be a Lionsgate issue, as they set what resolution a code redeems at.

      I love Lionsgate. NOT.

      The fine print on both the box and digital code slip both state in general language that they seem to both on all/many of their titles that Digital Code MANY redeem as HD. No idea what you'll get when you purchase. I would assume if streaming has UHD and it's a UHD disc you should get UHD. Otherwise if streaming only has HD it makes more since you only get HD. But we know thats not how it works.

      They also state that the quality depends on factors not tied to them like the streaming provider, etc.

      They basically say we don't know what you'll get and thats not our fault.

        Update. I love Lionsgate again.

        I sent them an email and they sent me back a new code that also redeems at Vudu. This code however did provide UHD.

        So I guess if you do get a HD/HDX code from a UHD/4K disc purchase you can contact them an get a UHD code. Really weird but at least is sorted out.

          Highly possible that when your disc was assembled, the wrong code sheet was included. Or that some codes were set with the wrong resolution. It happens quite a bit with nearly every studio. Had the same thing happen with “Cruella” and “Jaws” a few years ago. Fortunately, those were MA codes, so I was able to check them before redeeming.
