    8 MILE - 4K CODES NOT REDEEMING

FelipeF The 8 MILE 4K codes are giving a “This promo not found. Please try again later.” message but the discs were released today.

Can you please ask VUDU to look into this? I believe this is similar to the RUNNING MAN 4K codes (which are now fixed).

Some of us prefer to redeem on Vudu and we would appreciate this getting fixed. Thanks.

This stll looks like it's throwing a Promotion Not Found error message, any chance this could get looked at again? Thanks!

Still errors. Don't want to redeem in MA incase VUDU tries to play games (as they have done hundreds of times before) and stop importing the correct quality from MA. If redeemed in Vudu I always get that quality even if there are MA issues in the future.

Can you provide an example where a movie in MA doesn't import into the correct quality? I haven't had any issues and I have 4600 movies.

While I have never had a 4K code redeem in MA then transfer to Vudu in HDX (unless Vudu didn’t have it in 4K at the time), I do encounter that issue with Amazon Prime
              Video quite frequently.

What MA issues are you referring to?

Vudu over the decade I have been using it (and have opened up hundreds of tickets) has changed their max quality supported several times (often not for the better). If you purchased or redeemed the higher quality directly through vudu you get to keep it, but if it came over from MA (or in the past UV) the quality would downgrade.

Though if you want to discuss MA issues with Vudu we can do a different thread. I have opened numerous tickets with both about titles not porting in both ways correctly or Vudu associating the wrong MA identifiers, quality, and numerous other issues. Not even going to get into the multi-month to year problems with titles not porting correctly to MA from Vudu especially if they are sold by Vudu in bundles (why Vudu handles it as a bundle instead of the individual titles I have no idea, the entire database seems to need a redesign). Though this is very much off topic for this thread.

While I have not experienced that issue here on Vudu (FN merger issues aside), I have found that customer service at Movies Anywhere is very good on following up on these types of issues (which I seem to have rather routinely with Prime Video). I would caution you to check your transaction history on both Vudu and Movies Anywhere to verify what format each one shows that title was redeemed as.

Customer service at MA is great, when it is an MA issue. If Vudu simply stopped carrying the UHD version of a title there isn't anything they can do. Vudu isn't required to care any or all MA titles (and they are missing several).

By buying and/or redeeming in Vudu is the only way to ensure you always have the title and quality you want in Vudu. Nothing else can ensure that (and even then Vudu has issues which end up in these forums they need to resolve). While it doesn't help with Vudu hiding titles they no longer sell from searches and by extension filtering of your library you can still find those titles by scrolling and if need be adding them to a List.

An easy way to avoid this is to always check MA first.
Go to "See Retailers" and make sure the title is listed as 4K from Amazon Prime.
If it only gives a link to HD, it will not port as 4K.

Not sure that's alway true? For instance, when I check MA for "Leon: The Professional" Extended Cut on MA and then choose Prime, it shows they only have the SD version but they have the Extended Cut in 4K.

                          878 UHD
                          838 HDX
                          5 SD

Yes. Amazon sells the 4K version, but from my experience this does not mean it will port out in 4K.
This is exactly what Todd is referring to in the post I replied to.
If the resolution you want to port is not listed in the "See Retailers" on MA, don't count on it to port.
Go ahead & buy Leon 4K Extended from Amazon. See if I am wrong.

Not sure what you mean but "Yes", it ported to MA in 4K:

The Professional (Extended Cut) Amazon • 4K 4/23/2021 The Professional (Extended Cut) UHD AMZ RECORD 4/23/2021 15:17

                              5 SD
