Note, Chromecast Preview firmware was just updated to 1.27:

I believe at least some issues have been fixed in this release. If you would like to join the preview program & try it out (and give Google feedback about any problems still found!), instructions are in the above link...
I see CCU v1.29x just went beta, maybe this is the one???

How is the fast forward/rewind control with a phone? is it difficult to use?

Are there certain titles that are not eligible to be streamed in UHD via Chromecast Ultra? For example, I own the following recently-released UHD titles:
          • Dunkirk
          • Inception
          • It (2017)
          • The Lego Ninjago Movie
          • The Mummy (2017)
No matter what device I cast from (iPhone, iPad, Chrome via Windows laptop), all of these titles will only stream in HDX on my CC Ultra. I am 100% positive I own them all in UHD quality. All of my older UHD titles seem to play in UHD on CC Ultra just fine. It seems like it's only these very recent UHD releases that refuse to play in UHD on the CC Ultra. There certainly might be more that don't work, but this is what I've noticed so far.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there another reason why these titles won't play in UHD on Chromecast Ultra?

I am having the same problem with some of those very same titles playing UHD over my CCU. Dunkirk, Lego Ninjago, and Dark Knight Trilogy... but I have no problem with other titles. Vudu app shows me as owning UHD, but when I hit play, HDX is sent.

There pretty much is no fast forward or rewind with the phone. Wish that did exist, but all you get is the slider with your finger, which of course is not a ff or rw.

Glad to hear that it's not just me. I opened a Vudu support ticket and their response was to have me power-cycle the CCU, which of course I've tried multiple times with no success. Hopefully Jake or another Vudu engineer can chime in.

If needed, my support case # is 171219-001356

                  I opened a case too.

The problem is still occurring for me, even after power cycling the CCU. Other titles have no problem sending UHD/DV signal, it seems to be all the titles I redeemed this week.

Patiently waiting for the smoke to clear so I can get on the CCU bandwagon and not be bound to a certain model tv.

I'm completely new to this whole Chromecast Ultra/Vudu/Atmos realm, but for the life of me, I cannot get Dolby Atmos to engage (blue light or reading atmos) on Samsung HW-K950. Have read through many posts but still can't seem to get this thing to work properly. Am I missing something? Everything I have ready seems to indicate Vudu and Chromecast Ultra are best for streaming Atmos content.

Could someone clarify something? So if I'm correct, I'd have to use the Vudu app on my phone, then once a video is started, select chromecast ultra to stream (or "Cast") it to?
What if my phone's Vudu app only supports SD, or HDX? Will I still be able to select UHD once I begin streaming to the chromecast Ultra?

I'm considering getting a Chromecast Ultra. I'd be connecting it to my Onkyo RZ710 (which now has DV passthrough capability thanks to new FW), and then to my TV, which will soon support DV.
Mostly just trying to find a way to watch all the movies I have in Vudu in UHD (I have MANY, and most are in DV, which I've confirmed on the OLED C6 I used to have).

                            Hello All,

Apologies for the inconvenience. There is a bug with playing new release VUDU UHD content on the Chromecast Ultra. We are working on a fix and hopefully can send it out soon

                            Thanks,
                            Tam

This is still broken for newer titles. Update us, please.

However, Emoji movie is casting (released today) in uhd.

Last dev update from 12-29, Id like to watch blade runner 2049 in uhd....when will tgis be fixed on chromecasr ultra? Will you push an update to vudu app in google play or able to fix it without an update?

I would like to see UHD dolby vision since I paid extra for it. Older titles e.g. spider man.homecoming work.
