My Lists Broken?

    My Lists Broken?

    ***** Resolved (stable for several days as of 125/2024)**********

    When I go to My Lists I can see the thumbnail versions of the lists I've created but when I click on some of them, its now saying "List not Found" "This list no longer exists." This would be relatively catastrophic if the lists have actually been removed. I have ~10k+ movies assigned to ~98 lists. When I try to assign a movie to a list, my lists never load to pick from. Then sometimes if I refresh the list will show up. Overall it just seems really unstable. After restarting browser, seems to be stabilizing. But I was having problem on both Android Vudu and Windows Vudu. So I'm not sure if whatever it was has been resolved.

    Hi,

    Lists are working fine on the Roku so the underlying mechanism is ok (I use lists exclusively). I don't have access at the moment to a browser that properly supports shows/movies so I can't test lists via a browser right now, but I can tell you that many web sites are very picky about browser support so you may want to try a different or newer browser version if you have one available (maybe try a cell phone if you are using a computer or visa versa). If restarting the browser is helping, that is even more evidence that this could be a browser issue. It could be a matter of clearing the browser cache. You may also want to consider that it could also be a network lag issue or memory issue on the device given it has to load very large lists.

      I am having the issue on all devices in my house. It is happening on the PS3, PS4, PS5, and the Xbox 1.

      The PS4 is having an even worse issue where the app will load But then it's just a blank blue background and says vudu in the top right corner.

      The PS3 will let you go to the list Screen, but nothing populates. This has been going on for a couple weeks. I hope they get it fixed soon.

        Perhaps you can try to log out on the console then go to the Vudu hardware list and delete that old console entry then try to login again 'fresh'

          I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling on all of the consoles. I even went to the vudu website and unregistered and reregistered all the consoles.

            Its not just list performance. I've been noticing on Vudu Windows that sometimes I just see a big add across the page instead of seeing all the normal menu options (things like "Movies", "TV", "Free", and "My Library". I have to refresh the page repeatedly (many times more than once) again to try to get these menu items to show. Sometimes I do watch the add for awhile to see if they would finally show up but they don't. I actually have to refresh the page to get them to work. I suppose its entirely possible that my own movie library has reached some sort of straw that broke the camels back. This would make sense if it was a problem with only lists but this front page loading issue would have nothing to do with my own library size. I suspect something is overall a performance issue. In technology support lingo, I would initiate "an unplanned outage" as users are reporting substantial loss of services and degraded performance. Bear in mind that with lots of browser refreshes I can generally force everything to eventually work but this platform was working for YEARS before anything this bad ever happened. Sure, various issues no doubt came up from time to time but this seems pervasive, repeatable, and persistent across a number of days now. Its time to raise the alarm. Thanks!

              Things have stabilized and all is good with the world again. Thanks to whomever got VUDU back on track. I can use lists and have no issues with the main browser page loads (as of 1/25/2024 and its been stable for several days).
