A - Z sort different in My Movies vs created lists

Has anyone else noticed this or has this been brought up before?...

I decided to make several lists to determine my total HDX vs UHD movies and TV series. I have been methodically going through My TV and My Movies and flagging each into the appropriate list (broken up into smaller lists alphabetically and by 'movies' or 'series' to deal with the 200 item per list total limit).

I noticed the A - Z sort in My Movies does the logical thing with movie titles and ignores the preceding "A" or "The" in the title.

In the created lists however, the very same sort (A - Z) takes the leading "A" or "The" of the title into account and places the movies into a different order.

An example would be "A Bugs Life" being near the end of the 'B' titles in My Movies but at the beginning of my "HDX A thru B" title list.

I find this odd. Is this just some web page scripting that wasn't done the same on each of these? (looking at different fields in the database for the sort perhaps)

I use Windows Edge on my pc. I did not check my tv or phone app to see if the behavior happens there too.

Same odd behavior in phone app so probably not a web script thing. More likely a database table thing I would guess with My Movies having an additional field to sort from besides just the title (i.e. “Bugs Life, A” instead of just “A Bugs Life”). This kind of thing is probably a can-o-worms not worth messing with.

Forget I brought it up. Reminds me of why I got out of software a few years ago after 22 years.

Don’t mess with it. I can live with it as is. Thanks.
