Yes, nothing plays correctly from Vudu on any type of device, Roku, Fire tv, and Onn streamer. I get green picture covering most of the screen accept corrupt picture at the top??

I was watching a movie earlier today just fine...did the same as you did, I paused another movie part way in to go do something, came back and it wouldn't work. I tried multiple movies in my library with no luck on the PC. Tried it on my phone and green screen. I tried a free movie and the commercial played fine but I got an error when the movie was supposed to start. I tried to do the support chat, but when it was supposed to put me to a live person, it told me that there was no one available and that the business hours are 6AM to 10PM PST...it was around 4 PST that I tried to get in touch with someone....

I am having the same issues when I try to watch some of the movies, I have bought from VUDU. sometimes it says I do not have enough bandwidth. But I had enough on 3/5/24. Older movies I have had awhile do fine, just last ones that I have downloaded.

I am having trouble with The Big Bang Theory season 10 episode 1 and Night Court (the 1980’s series) with Season 2 episode 17. It is pixilated green screen. Been this way since last week. I should know I am watching these on the Vudu app on Roku. Lots of other stuff plays. But these episodes that were on my continued watching list have yet to play since Vudu had problems last week.

I am having major issues with the Vudu app for Apple TV devices. Some movies return a Movie Unavailable: Error Code 2102, but most just buffer endlessly while trying to launch.

This is happening again, but only on one of my Roku devices, and only on Tom Selleck movies. I own 14 Tom Selleck movies on Fandango, every one of them has green screen covering most of the screen except for what looks like corrupt picture at the top. This is only happening on my Roku Smart Soundbar. Where my Roku Streambar and Roku 4k+ 3821 Stick play fine. I have other Roku's but they aren't plugged now.

                  Hi,

I had something somewhat similar happen the other day on my Roku Ultra after it did an automatic update (the Roku itself), but a subsequent manual reboot fixed it. You may well have already tried that, but I thought I would mention it just in case you haven't yet.

To add a little more detail, a few days ago I suddenly heard in the background the sound of my Roku randomly rebooting itself due to one of those entirely unwelcome automatic updates (meaning, an update of the Roku itself). When I went to use Vudu a while later, it popped up some strange error about HDMI security and then when I tried playing a title it failed but black instead of green with a small flickering vertical line on the left side (although, in my case I couldn't play any title at all, not just select titles). So then I tried going out of the app (via the app exit option, not the HOME button) and back in again, but it did the same thing. So then I went to the Roku options and did a manual reboot. When it finished that reboot, everything started working fine again. I have no idea why there was a problem at all, but it certainly re-emphasized my extremely strong opposition to automatic updates (as I recall, non-configurable on the Roku).

I don't know if that helps, but I figured I'd tell you what happened in my case just in case it does help in some way

                  Thanks

I restarted the Roku through the menu, no help. I deleted Fandango app from the Roku, restarted the Roku, then added the app back, still not playing any of the Tom Selleck movies. It plays Blue Bloods fine. I really don't have to watch it this particular streamer, this is my Soundbar connected to Amazon Omni Qled Fire TV. The Fire tv has problem with Fandango app loading, all I get is blue screen, it may take three or four times to start the app before any graphics appear. And it doesn't show all my movies and tv shows I own unlike Roku which shows them all.

I replaced my Roku Smart Soundbar with Roku Streambar Pro, which dropped in price to $130. After receiving the new Roku I factory reset the Smart Soundbar, only then after signing back in to fandango the Tom Selleck movies started play correctly.

I haven't seen streaming this bad since the early days of VUDU, even at standard definition there are way to many disruptions since Fandango took over. This seems to be the general management when something is transferred, as everything seems to be reset to as cheap as they can get it to run. I will certainly think twice before buying anymore movies, including the increased use of bad language and every movie nowdays has to include cursing God's name in pg13 and up and no notice that it's in the movie. More than half of the 595 movies I've bought are a waste

Vudu/FaH has actually been the best of the streaming companies I've ever used, and don't get me wrong, that is not to dismiss any problems some people are having such as the topic of this thread, but just to point out that some of us such as myself think that Vudu is vastly better overall than the other companies, for example, the best interface by far (every other company I've tried has ridiculously enraging/amateurish/restrictive interfaces). Vudu's interface is well-designed, professional, and powerful. I can watch my title from beginning to end without it popping up garbage on the screen in the middle of watching, trying to force me to watch something unrelated afterwards via a threatening countdown, and other such enraging/amateurish nonsense done by the other companies' interfaces.

While I definitely empathize with wanting to avoid inappropriate content, every company I've tried has a similarly wide variety of movie and show choices; there's no reason to blame any streaming company for inappropriate content. ALL of the main streaming companies include such titles, but there are also a huge number of titles that are free from such issues. Personally, I own a wide variety of titles including a lot of older movies/shows and titles aimed at younger audiences that contain no inappropriate content whatsoever.

A problem is that the rating system with PG and such is way too general. Vudu actually is far better than the rest in that they offer a specific review for parents which includes a detailed description of what may be inappropriate with respect to particular issues. It is worth checking that out before you purchase a title.

Further, you may want to do an internet search on the title you are considering and do some additional research or watch the title via rental before buying it. I do this myself and have avoided many purchase mistakes as a result.

                          Thank you

Yes I've seen the content reviews, they will inform you sometimes, but rarely I've found to be specific about content you really want to avoid such as the last movie which didn't give any information at all
