!!! Missing Movie !!! DreamWorks Spooky Stories - refund due to all?

    FelipeF

I discovered that a movie i purchased in March 2021 is missing.

It is clearly listed on my purchase history... but I can not find it in a VUDU / Fandango App search (on Roku TV) nor in my TV or Movie Content. I can not even find it searching VUDU via the internet (Vudu web site).

The missing movie is "DreamWorks Spooky Stories."

Was it taken away / removed?

It either needs to be added back or my purchase price needs to be refunded ASAP to everyone who bought it.

It's probably what Vudu calls "out of window". It's no longer available to be purchased but still available for those who have previously purchased it. You'll have to manually scroll and search for it in your My Vudu section. Using the search feature on the website won't show it.

I can see that it's still on your account and never deleted. You can access the content at the link below:

Prime Video is notorious for doing this. I'll go searching for a movie by typing in the title, it will take me to a listing that says that I do not own it and need to purchase it if I want to watch it. However, if I scroll thru my library, I can find it. Edge of Tomorrow is one example.

I wonder what would happen if you clicked (to buy again) and if it would say you can't buy it as you already own it or it would allow another purchase, perhaps over and over again.

Either way this is lazy coding.

The problem with Amazon is they sell multiple versions of the same content. One sku for SD/HD, another for 4K, and then another for SD/HD with bonus features. So, it would not stop you from purchasing since Amazon sees it as something different.

Thank you! So, why doesn't it show up in a search? I have a big library.... scrolling and scrolling find something is not a good thing.

Legalities and studio mandates dictate on how their intellectual properties are setup. This is the short version on why content can go out of window.

Maybe start a list called out the window, add all titles you can't search for directly.
