Disc + Digital - No Ship Notice - No Tracking ? ? ?

I love the Disc + Digital (instant view now, disc in mail later) but I've got a lot of reservations.

1) I've never received any emails noting when it's shipped.
2) There nothing in Vudu in your account that shows it was shipped, only paid for.
3) No email with tracking and no tracking in your account.
4) Ever since the launch of mobile Disc to Digital (not D+D) the Disc + Digital no longer supports a ship to other then your billing address. Doesn't matter if your different shipping address is on file with credit card and / or entered in vudu ship to address. Doesn't matter if it worked before mobile D to D.

There's WAY to may things that are FAR from ideal and these problems have been there for a long time.

At a minimum you should NOT have to call an 800 number to get confirmation of shipping and tracking info. I ignored this from launch because at least my ship to has 24/7/365 security and I know when things arrive and if something goes wrong I have multiple cameras to review what happened with security receipt. Now that Vudu is (mistakenly?) forcing bill to address where things just get dropped on my home porch where anyone from the street can see and take it this is simply not acceptable anymore.

Balance and History provides you with the tracking information, scroll to the D+D order and click on it. If it has shipped, a link to tracking is provided under order status.

Must be somewhat new, I never saw it before.

Helpful. But some of my comments still stand. Have to go through multiple steps to track and there is no notification via via email that it's shipped or delivered. Amazon is the kind of order and tracking info. I get constant notification on my phone every step of the way.

I do wish more sites were more proactive with this sorts of things beyond basic order tracking tucked away in your account. With Walmart's in store pickup, you get location based alerts on the Walmart app if your order is ready, and it will let you check in to tell the Pickup staff you're there. On Best Buy's web site, they have a predominant "shopping history" banner on the front page, and if you have an order that needs to be picked up it will be clearly called out.
